  • Late-1990s, O'Brien toured with the casts of "West Side Story" and "Beauty and the Beast." Then working with Bernadette Peters, "Annie Get Your Gun" on Broadway in 1998, O'Brien followed her to New York. Next came "The Producers" with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane.
  • Concurrently with his work on Le Club Mickey (1955), also appeared occasionally as part of the "Lawrence Welk's Little Band" on The Dodge Dancing Party (1955) during the mid-'50s.
  • Married to a graduate of the University of Oregon, and may often be seen wearing a cap or shirt bearing the likeness of the Oregon mascot--Donald Duck.
  • As a professional studio drummer, has worked with many top performers over the last four decades. He spent several years as a drummer for The Carpenters.
  • Has one daughter, Alicia
  • "Discovered" by Disney talent scouts in December 1954, while performing at a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) benefit in Hollywood.
  • Profiled in the 2016 book "X Child Stars: Where Are They Now?" by Kathy Garver and Fred Ascher.
