Mel Novak, the great movie villain known for his slick turns as the sniper Stick in Bruce Lee’s Game of Death, the gangster Blue Eyes in Jim Kelly’s Black Belt Jones and the informant Tony Montoya in Chuck Norris’ An Eye for an Eye, has died. He was 90.

Novak died Wednesday of natural causes at a hospice facility in Granada Hills, his daughter Nikol Conant told The Hollywood Reporter.

In a career that spanned seven decades, the charismatic Novak did lots of his own stunts, as in The Ultimate Warrior (1975), starring Yul Brynner and Max von Sydow. That was one of the four films he made with Enter the Dragon director Robert Clouse.

In his death scene for that post-apocalyptic adventure, “They covered me with peanut butter and sunflower seeds and then put 40 live rats on me,” Novak recalled in a 2018 interview. “I told their trainer, ‘If one of them bites me,...

One of the stranger subgenres of horror films to emerge recently is that involving sharks from outer space. Exclusive: UK sci-fi-drama film Infinitum: Subject Unknown has been picked up by Blue Finch Films for distribution in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. From producers Fizz and Ginger Films, the film is written by and stars Tori Butler-Hart (Two Down) with cameo roles for Lord Of The Rings star Ian McKellen and Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones). The film is co-written and directed by Matthew Butler-Hart and remarkably was made during lockdown with only husband and wife duo the Butler-Harts on set and all crew working remotely. The low-budget film charts the story of Jane, who is trapped in an unknown world with endless possibilities. She must discover a way to access them and alter her reality before she is destined to repeat the same test over and again ad infinitum. The team is now working on a U.S. TV pilot and a graphic novel based on the film’s premise.

A new clip from Ebola Rex has been unleashed. In the tease, we learn that not even the military can take down the massive dino terrorizing the city. The movie comes from prolific director/writer Dustin Ferguson, who also delivered 5G Zombies and Angry Asian Murder Hornets earlier this year. Previous trailers focused on the plot of the movie, but here we get a look at a full scene, which should be more than enough to get fans of low budget cinema sucked in. Ebola Rex will be available September 1st on VOD and DVD from Scs Entertainment.

Ebola Rex starts during a "Dino Lives Matter" protest, when a captive Tyrannosaurus Rex is injected with the Ebola Virus by a crazed protester. We have a brand new trailer for Ebola Rex. This is the latest creation from the folks at Scs Entertainment, who are able to churn out low budget B-movies at an alarmingly fast rate. These are the same folks behind recent, timely movies such as Angry Asian Murder Hornets and 5G Zombies. In this case, we have a dinosaur flick that is mirroring recent national protests, in addition to taking a page or two from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
