Stephen Norrington

Gained some notoriety for being difficult to work with. David S. Goyer said that while making Blade (1998), Norrington began taunting him about how "tattoos aren't tough." Norrington then began flaunting his various piercings and deriding Goyer. During the making of La Ligue des gentlemen extraordinaires (2003), some anonymous crew members claimed that Norrington had no idea what he wanted, and wasted hours setting up scenes differently, and filming scenes that would never make the movie. He also had regular verbal arguments with star Sean Connery, one of them nearly ending in a fist fight. Connery would later imply that Norrington belonged in an "asylum". As for his own perspective of things, one of the few comments Norrington made on the subject was that he does not like studio supervision and is "uncomfortable" with large crews.
