    • Leighton Noble was born on December 25, 1912 in Pasadena, California, USA. He was an actor, known for Deux nigauds dans le foin (1943), Gift of Gab (1934) and Symphonie loufoque (1943). He was married to Billie Grafton. He died on March 6, 1994 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Trivia

  • Singer who took over leadership of the Orville Knapp Orchestra from George Olsen in 1937, after several members of the band had become disaffected. Noble's first engagement was at Frank Dailey's Meadowbrook, after which his society orchestra was featured in many of the swank hotels across the United States. He recorded for Vocalion and Bluebird, as well as gaining further exposure by appearing in motion pictures during the 1940's. Between 1961 and 1969, Noble fronted the house band at Harrah's Club, Lake Tahoe.
