Objectif lotus (1975)
Derek Nimmon was born in Liverpool in 1930. Before switching to acting, one of many jobs he held was sales manager in a paint factory. He made his stage debut at Bolton Repertory in 1951 before moving to repertory theatres at Worcester, Oldham, Rotherham, Crewe, Clacton, and Nottingham. For a while he worked as an agent for Al Martino and as a comic feed for comedian Arthur Haynes, Peter Brough, and Archie Andrews. He made his West End debut in 'Room For Two' with other West End appearances in 'Waltz of the Toreadors', 'How Say You', 'The Amorous Prawn', 'Charlie Girl', 'See How They Run', and 'The Irregular Verb to Love'.

He became particularly well-known with the television series 'All Gas and Gaiters' and 'Oh, Brother', among others. He made quite a number of appearances on the big screen after making his debut in the Sophia Loren film Les dessous de la millionnaire (1960). Away from the stage and television he wrote a number of books (including 'Not in Front of the Servants' and 'As the Actress Said to the Bishop').
