He is openly gay. He also takes a very hard line against people holding profound religious beliefs being allowed to lead political parties in the UK. He condemned Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron over rumours that he adheres to Old Testament teaching that homosexual acts are sinful.
Do you think it's wrong, though, that Tim Farron should be asked about his views on morality? Because I don't. I find the prospect of a leader of a major political party who thinks that being gay is a sin in 2017, I think what planet is he on?
