Paula J. Newman

Known as the Real Deal - A British Transplant to the United States in her teens. Graduate of Carnegie Mellon School of Acting, Paula began her teen career as a singer/improv troupe member in England, touring England with Theatre in Education Groups, appearing in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival over the years and then attaining the LAMDA Gold Medal Award. Completed the American Conservatory Theatre's Summer Program and became a member of the San Francisco's TheatreSports 2nd Sunday Company before attending Carnegie Mellon's prestigious acting program, (BFA) . Member of Pittsburgh TheatreSports and was the instigator of the first ever Los Angeles Showcase for CMU graduates. A Nominee for LA Theatre's Ovation Award, founder of the Ecstatic Theatre Ensemble, Groundlings student (class with Jimmy Fallon) and Stand Up Comic performances including venues - Laugh Factory Hollywood, House of Comedy - Phoenix, Punchline, Laughing Skulls - Atlanta, 3Es Colorado Springs, St. Marks Comedy Club NYC, The Comedy Store, Flappers Comedy Club, The Hollywood Comedy, Glendale ComicCure etc. She is a regular on WOLF LIVE app as a headliner/game show guest and hosts Cosmic Chats a YouTube. A prolific voice over artist she can be heard in over 100 TV and Films with a specialty in young teens, British Boys, Scottish lassies, Aussie gals, period wenches/maids and sassy characters. She became a Vedic Meditation teacher after sustaining an injury working on the computer and founded Aware Meditation Inc. a non for profit company providing a self sufficient meditation technique for low income underrepresented groups globally. Rise Up Comedy is the outreach extension fusing with Mental Health and Comedy as a healing modality. She is a speaker at sober conferences addressing meditation techniques for; those in recovery with busy minds, pain management centers and inspirational speaker to first generation college students.
