It would be shocking to find that anyone who read Ozzie Nelson's autobiography was shocked to read that he revealed he was an atheist, as an earlier trivia contributor states. He did not state nor even suggest this. If he was an atheist, it's odd he would end his autobiography with a prayer.

The Nelson family (Ozzie, Harriet & Ricky) were inducted into the 2019-2020 Class of New Jersey Hall of Fame in the Arts and Entertainment category.

Was made a doctor of humane letters by Rutgers University in 1957.
