Olga Nedovodina-Finney
Olga Vodin was born Olga Nedovodina on 23 November 1972, in Krasnodar, in southern Russia. Her father was a lead ballet dancer in the Krasnodar Theater of Operetta, so Olga grew up in the city of Krasnodar. From an early age she was trained in ballet, acting, and also took piano. In the 1990s she studied acting at Shchukin Theatrical School, affiliated with the Vakhtangov Theater in Moscow, Russia. There she mastered the methods of Stanislavsky, Chekhov and Vakhtangov. She graduated in 1993 with a Master's Degree in Theater and Acting. While a student in Moscow, Olga worked on the stage and also appeared in several Russian-made films, such as Dukhi ada (1992) ('Spirits of Hell'), 'Svobodnaya zone' (1991) ('Zone of Freedom'), Vashi paltsy pakhnut ladanom! (1993) ('Your Fingers Smell Like Incense'), and Nastya (1994). In 1993 she emigrated from Russia and moved to California with her new American husband and continued her acting career while raising her first child. In America she took a stage name - Olga Vodina. She appeared in such American productions as Americanski Blues (1995) ('American Cop'), Dangerous Cargo (1996), Swimsuit: The Movie (1997), and a guest appearance in the TV show Marker (1995). In the 2000s she switched jobs from acting to co-producing several stage shows, including one in St. Petersburg, Russia. She has 2 children from her first marriage, which ended in divorce, and one from her second. She and her second husband live in Puget Sound, Washington, USA.
