  • Voiced Sam the Eagle in the Japanese dub of 'The Muppet Show', alongside Yasuo Yamada as Kermit the Frog.

  • He was a supporter of the Japanese Communist Party.
  • He was hospitalized for a gastric ulcer in March 1985 during the broadcast of "Lupin III: Part III" and underwent surgery to remove half of the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Voiced the Chairman Mouse in both the 1981 and the 2000 dubs of 'The Rescuers'. He also reprised his role for the dub of 'The Rescuers Down Under'.
  • Provided audio commentary in the place of Peter Shaffer for the Japanese Blu-Ray of 'Amadeus' (1984).
  • Voiced the King in the Japanese dub of 'The King and the Mockingbird'.
