- Nakajima was not the initial choice to play in Tokyo Family of 2011. Shigeru Muroi was initially cast in Tokyo Family, the 2011 remake of Tokyo Story, but ended up not playing the role of the Hirayamas' daughter after shooting was delayed due to the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
