Elated at the birth of his granddaughter, megastar K. Chiranjeevi said that the entire family is happy to welcome the newborn on Tuesday, their favourite day of the week.

Chennai, Feb 3 (Ians) Celebrated actor Kamal Haasan has penned a heartfelt note for the late Telugu filmmaker K. Viswanath, who breathed his last on Thursday.

The two had worked on iconic films such as ‘Sagara Sangamam’, ‘Swathi Muthyam’ and ‘Subhasankalpam’, and Kamal Haasan considers Viswanath to be his mentor.

He tweeted: “Salute to a master.” The poignant words, followed by a tribute penned in the actor’s hand, are an indication of his esteem for the legendary director who highlighted Indian art and culture in his movies.

The letter reads: “Kalathapasvi K. Viswanath gaaru fully understood the transcience of life and immortality of art. Hence his art will be celebrated beyond his lifetime and reign. Long live his art. An ardent fan, Kamal Haasan.”

Chennai, Aug 13: The craze for Pawan Kalyan will now be transformed into a Telugu film titled "Pawanism", which will pay tribute to the actor, his popularity and his real life philosophies.

It will be directed by Chaitanya.

"It's our way of paying tribute to someone we all adore. We want to portray his ideologies in the film such that it can move and create a new path for younger generation. We are not cashing in on his popularity. It will be a heartfelt tribute to him," Chaitanya told Ians.

"We were extremely happy to have Pawan Kalyan's brother Naga Babu with us when the film went on floors. We have just started shooting.

Chennai, Feb 25: Known for singing hit title songs for Telugu films "Gabbar Singh" and "Jalsa", rapper Baba Sehgal has sung yet another song for upcoming Telugu action drama "Shadow".

"Sung the title song of 'Shadow' for the super hit team of Thaman and Meher Ramesh. Kudos to Thaman," Baba said in a post on his Twitter page. The film's music has been composed by S.S. Thaman.

Chennai, Nov 10: Upcoming Telugu action-romantic "Okkadine" will be laced with sentiment, says producer C.V. Reddy.

The forthcoming film of Charan and producer Naga Babu, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, has been on floors for over a month now.
