Kim discovered her love of acting at the age of twelve when she was cast as "Nancy" in her school's musical production of "Oliver Twist."
Years later, after attending Syracuse University, she began her professional career when she was offered a lead role as Lisa Webber in
"A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge," a performance that continues to resonate with horror fans today. Since then, Kim has worked with directors: Joss Whedon, Peter Bogdanovich, Phil Alden Robinson, Luis Mandoki, Rod Lurie as well as producers Steven Bochco, Alan Ball, and Jerry Seinfeld. Kim continued working in theater and appeared in "A Shayna Maidel" at the famed Tiffany Theatre. A treasured moment was getting a call from Neil Simon for a staged reading of "Jake's Women" at the Tiffany Theater with Stockard Channing, Nancy Travis and John Larroquette.
