Daredevil: Born Again brought back Frank Castle in its latest episode, but the show has also brought one character into the MCU who has never had a live-action presence before. Introduced in 2016, Muse is an antagonist who has chiefly troubled two heroes: Daredevil, and his student Blindspot. The character has also had run-ins with the Punisher and might be key to the agenda that Wilson Fisk entered office with.

Wilson Fisk entered his mayoral tenure in New York City with the agenda that vigilante violence and vigilante justice are something that needs to be curbed by any means necessary, the character, indirectly, singled out The Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man during his campaign. Muse actually ends up helping Mayor Fisk with his shenanigans, which the former leverages to push his anti-vigilante agenda.

Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page returns alongside Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, as confirmed by MCU set photos that reveal a new look for Page. Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page only appeared briefly in Daredevil: Born Again episodes 1 and 2, where she witnessed Foggy Nelson's tragic death and attended Bullseye's trial before parting ways with Matt Murdock. While her absence is felt throughout Daredevil: Born Again season 1, the wait for her return won't be as long as it may have seemed at first.
As reported by JustJared, Deborah Ann Woll and Charlie Cox were both spotted on the Daredevil: Born Again set. Woll's Karen Page sports bright red hair and Cox's Matt Murdock wears a large coat. The context of Daredevil: Born Again season 2's set photos is unknown at this point, but it seems as though Karen Page and Matt Murdock are going incognito in this scene.

If you haven't watched this week's episode of Daredevil: Born Again yet, beware of major spoilers from this point on.
The debut of graffiti artist/serial killer Muse has been teased since the premiere of Marvel Television's revival series, but during last night's fourth episode, we finally got to see the sinister villain in action as he set about draining an unfortunate victim's blood to use as his "painting materials."
Though we haven't seen the character without his mask yet, fans have been theorizing about his identity since the first trailer, and Marvel may have let the cat out of the bag a little early.
In the closing credits of "Sic Semper Systema," Wednesday and Your Honor actor Hunter Doohan is listed as a guest star despite never appearing (unmasked) in the episode. Doohan plays the nervous young man we see approaching Heather Glenn in episode 2 to ask if...

The fourth episode of Daredevil: Born Again is a Wilson Fisk-centric episode that delivers the goods. Vincent D’Onofrio gives a remarkably restrained performance, showing that his manipulation is just as terrifying as when Fisk becomes physically violent. The psychological depth D’Onofrio brings to the role provides the series with its edge.
We have seen the Daredevil universe (Ddu) bring back Bullseye and The White Tiger. So, who else will series creators Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman, and Chris Ord have in store for us in “Sic Semper Systema”? Plenty of jaw-dropping moments, including the return of a beloved Marvel character!
However, a new ominous figure is introduced: a serial killer who wears a white mask with dark streaks down the face, resembling blood. Could this be the Marvel villain Muse? We aren’t sure. We see him at the beginning and end of the episode, draining the blood of one of his victims.

Daredevil: Born Again debuted to positive reviews earlier this month and, following yesterday evening's stellar episode, the show's Rotten Tomatoes score has once again increased.
"Sic Semper Systema" featured the return of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher along with Muse's haunting debut and, with reviews for this specific episode uploaded overnight, the score has increased from 84% to 86%.
It's an admittedly small difference, albeit one that pushes Daredevil: Born Again closer to being one of Marvel Studios' most critically acclaimed Disney+ TV shows.
The studio needed a win after Captain America: Brave New World as that drew mostly mixed-to-negative reviews when it opened in theaters last month. That was a disappointment for Marvel Studios, especially as Deadpool & Wolverine, Agatha All Along, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man were widely praised.
Cap's latest movie was the victim of reshoots, though a creative only seemed to benefit Daredevil: Born Again.

The 3rd episode of Daredevil: Born Again was about Matt Murdock proving that Hector Ayala was innocent and he hadn’t killed Officer Shanahan. Murdock was able to get his hands on Nicky Torres, the Ci that Hector was trying to save from officers Powell and Shanahan, but he lied and said he wasn’t even at the subway station where the incident happened. So, Matt had no option but to reveal that Hector was the vigilante called White Tiger and try to get the jury to see that he was a hero and he couldn’t have killed a cop on purpose. That worked out, and Hector was allowed to walk out of the courthouse a free man. But Mayor Wilson Fisk didn’t take that decision too well. His marital problems were getting muddy, but more importantly, Hector’s acquittal went against Fisk’s anti-vigilante stance. Hence, he...

Some Marvel fans have mistakenly spotted a Doctor Doom reference in Daredevil: Born Again episode 4, yet the McU's Doctor Doom hasn't been referenced yet. Daredevil: Born Again episode 4 features the return of Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle a.k.a. the Punisher, as well as Muse's official MCU introduction. Matt Murdock is also growing tired of fighting crime using an exclusively legal approach under his regular identity, and Hector Ayala's real murderer remains at large. Tension rises as every major character faces an obstacle of their own.
On X, several Marvel fans have posted their reactions to Daredevil: Born Again's alleged namedrop of Doctor Doom's birthplace, the Kingdom of Latveria. However, Latveria isn't mentioned in episode 4. At one point in Daredevil: Born Again episode 4, Wilson Fisk is pressured into attending a celebration of "Latvian Heritage Day", where a group of Latvian people sing “We Built This City” in Latvian.

In the closing moments of Daredevil: Born Again's third episode, someone wearing The Punisher's iconic skull logo shot and killed White Tiger. Over the past week, we've been left to wonder whether Frank Castle has gone off the deep end or someone is imitating the vigilante.
There have been hints it's the latter, especially as several corrupt cops have been shown rocking skull tattoos on their arms and necks.
In tonight's fourth instalment, "Sic Semper Systema" Matt Murdock investigates the alleyway where Hector Ayala was murdered and discovers a bullet casing with The Punisher's logo on the side. Needless to say, it starts looking an awful lot like Frank might have decided White Tiger needed to pay for his role in that cop's death on the subway.
Matt tracks Frank down to his base and it's quickly confirmed the killer must have been one of the "fanboys" he's aware have co-opted his logo.

In light of that, the franchise stars Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, and Ashley Greene were guests at the recently-held Indiana Comic Con, where they were asked about the films and Rathbone revealed a very interesting detail about the movie’s soundtrack or, to be more precise, one of the movie’s iconic songs.

Episode three of Daredevil: Born Again is a courtroom drama instead of a straight up superhero action show that succeeds in its goal of further outlining the differences in public opinion towards vigilantes. The episode ends on a cliffhanger and a tease, that very obviously isn't who the episode wants us to think it is.
Spoilers Below.
Episode three takes place almost exclusively in a courtroom as Matt Murdock defends Hector Ayala, the White Tiger. After all the effort Matt and Cherry went through to keep their star witness, Nicky Torres, a confidential informant that the cops were beating on when Hector intervened, safe, he ends up going against them. We don't know exactly why. Either someone got to him and intimidated him, or being in the room with all those cops who will definitely not be his friends afterwards spooked him. Daredevil: Born Again's "creative overhaul" has been a major talking point among fans since the news broke that Marvel Studios was going back to the drawing board in late 2023.
Since then, we've learned of at least some changes, whether it's through the very public reshoots which took place in New York last year or in recent interviews with the cast and creatives while they were promoting the show's Disney+ premiere.
@MyTimeToShineH has shared an in-depth breakdown of all the changes made to Daredevil: Born Again and they're undeniably significant. However, as expected, those middle episodes mostly just received some tweaks, with the premiere and final two episodes going through the biggest alterations.
"Episodes 1-6 were mostly kept intact but were shifted to become episodes 2-7 instead," the scooper explains, adding that all of Vanessa Fisk's scenes were reshot when Ayelet Zurer was asked to reprise her role and replaced Sandrine Holt.

Quite a few artists have contributed to the Marvel comic "Daredevil" over the years, lending their own unique visual style to the ongoing trials of blind lawyer and vigilante Matt Murdock. David Mack, however, might just be the most unique of them all. Mack uses a mixed media approach to his art, combining watercolor, ink, and pencil (sometimes with collage materials like printed paper or even Scrabble letters) to create wildly inventive sequential images that tell powerful stories. His most well-known work is in "Daredevil," where he's served as both an artist and writer, co-creating the character of Echo with Joe Quesada and contributing to some of the very best arcs in the series (like the incredible "Wake Up").

Daredevil: Born Again has begun production in New York and, depending on how much of the city Marvel Studio intends to shoot in, keeping spoilers under wraps could be easier said than done.
The cast was reportedly filming interior scenes yesterday but several vans were spotted on set seemingly revealing the names of the characters who were part of that. Among them were "Mr. Charles" (likely Daredevil actor Charlie Cox), "Bb Urich" (Genneya Walton), Heather (Margarita Levieva), and "Stunt Muse."
Unless it's a codename for another character, that's presumably a reference to a stuntperson who was on set suited up as the villainous Muse. We've yet to meet the villain in Daredevil: Born Again, though he was set to be the show's big bad before the creative overhaul.
In the comics, Muse was a mysterious, deranged artist whose artwork was created using the blood from over a hundred different missing people he'd murdered.

Daredevil: Born Again has set a board of chess in its narrative that serves the purpose of making one of the most complex and intriguing stories that the MCU has put on screen. Given that both Matt and Fisk have information about each other that could ruin their standing with the public, the game of cat and mouse between the duo comes down to who strikes when, and how quickly the other can recover.

It is known that there is one comic book storyline that could be adapted in Born Again, which could not only put Matt and his allies on the backfoot but also allow Fisk to land a decisive blow when it comes to taking Daredevil out of the picture.

Daredevil: Born Again seems to be progressing at a breakneck speed, no matter how many characters need to die to keep up with its pace. Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson kicking it in the first few moments of the show might have been a shocker enough, but the show now proves that that might not have been a one-time thing.

Episode 3 of Born Again focused on a different vigilante than Matt, one he actually had to defend. As was set up by the previous two episodes, Hector Ayala had become wrapped up in a case that saw the accidental death of a police officer, one that the White Tiger tried to take down for harassing a citizen. However, Ayala met his tragic end, which might be a way in which the ranks of the street heroes could be expanded in the MCU.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Kills Another Major Character and Teases [Spoiler]’s Return in Bloody Ending
Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for Episode 3 of “Daredevil: Born Again,” now streaming on Disney+.
After killing off Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) in the first 10 minutes of the premiere last week, “Daredevil: Born Again” has again upped the body count.
Episode 3 followed the high-profile trial of Hector Ayala (played by the late Kamar de los Reyes), a.k.a. the vigilante White Tiger, who was accused of killing an NYPD officer the show’s second episode. As we saw, Hector was actually trying to stop two crooked cops from harassing a man near the subway and accidentally pushed one of them into the train. The cops then tried to rough up the man in his apartment, but Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) was there to protect him and dole out some brutal, bone-snapping justice.

The series is bringing a fresh villain into the mix and he is unlike anything we have seen before – Muse. Needless to say, fans have their own theories about how Muse’s story will play out in Born Again and how it may change Wilson Fisk’s path.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 premiered with a major bombshell in Matt Murdock's world. Charlie Cox's blind vigilante is faced with tremendous pain due to a certain death, but it's not a well-hidden secret.
Marvel marketing gave fans enough clues to theorize that Wilson Bethel's Bullseye would kill Foggy Nelson, which is exactly what happened. Of course, this resulted in very strong fan reactions online, but it does work for what the story entails. Foggy's death will plunge Matt into another whirlwind of trauma and grief. It will also work to explore his darker impulses.

When I hear John Paesano and Braden Kimball’s “Daredevil” theme, I’m instantly transported.
“Marvel’s Daredevil” premiered 10 years ago on Netflix, when everything about the violent, tortured series was refreshing. Blood dripped from our hero’s wounds and from the images in the title sequence, depicted against a haunting piano melody. The word “gritty” was run into the ground for good reason, and I had that damn theme music on a loop.
The Disney+ incarnation from Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman, and Chris Ord knows exactly what worked about the Netflix series, and wastes little time delivering on all of that. The first episode alone contains a visceral fight in a dark hallway, filmed as one take; constant and gratuitous mentions of Hell’s Kitchen; and of course, the return of Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) who has allegedly left behind his criminal past — as surely as Matt (Charlie Cox) parted ways with Daredevil’s mask.

It’s been nearly a decade since the launch of Marvel/Netflix’s Daredevil, which introduced audiences to Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear and Vincent D’Onofrio as the notorious Kingpin. Upon its release, the series was met with widespread acclaim, from critics and fans alike, eventually paving the way for more popular street-level heroes to make their small-screen debuts, none more prominent than Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.
Despite Daredevil’s popularity, the flagship series was, unfortunately, axed after three seasons due to circumstances beyond its control, leaving the future of Matt Murdock in limbo… until, of course, Marvel Studios regained the character’s rights.
Since then, everyone’s favorite lawyer has appeared in a handful of MCU projects, but now it’s finally time for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen to be Born Again - stepping into a dark, twisted adventure unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Netflix's Daredevil is still widely regarded as one of the greatest comic book-based TV shows of all time, and fans were understandably up in arms when the series came to a premature end after three seasons. Now, the Man Without Fear returns to our screens seven years later for a show that manages to establish itself as a worthy successor while actually improving on certain aspects of the original.
It's been widely reported that Daredevil: Born Again underwent an extensive creative overhaul to bring it more in line with the Netflix series, and it shows. For all intents and purposes, this Disney+ revival is Daredevil season 4. Great news for fans of the original show, but maybe not so much for anyone hoping to see a slightly different (perhaps less grounded?) approach to the material.

Plot: Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
Review: Just under ten years ago, Marvel brought its first street-level hero to Netflix with Daredevil. While the series would be followed by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and a crossover event in Defenders, the Charlie Cox-led Daredevil was the best series of the bunch. After three seasons, Daredevil ended its Netflix run, and the cast said goodbye to the denizens of Hell’s Kitchen. But, when Marvel Studios reacquired the full rights to the characters, we saw Cox show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law while Vincent D’Onofrio returned as Wilson Fisk in the Disney+ series Hawkeye and Echo.

Daredevil: Born Again made a huge statement with its premiere episode and wasn't afraid to bring down its audience in the opening minutes to start them on a journey of reconstruction. Even the opening credits, showing the standards created in the previous season only to be rebuilt in the form of Daredevil, stronger than ever, champion the idea of what Born Again is really about and the importance of starting from scratch to build something from the rubble of the past. Episode 2 continues this idea in a big way by delivering, not on superhero content but on a theme that made the original series so thrilling: a compelling character drama.

Netflix’s Daredevil was a very good series that, at times, was great. It was also flawed, but for many fans, the show - which lasted three seasons and spilt over into The Defenders - remains an undisputed classic. The cast and action alone largely made up for any storytelling shortcomings, so following it was never going to be an easy task for Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again. A creative overhaul took place midway through production when executives realised their approach to the revival wasn't working and the result is a show that vastly improves on its predecessor. Now, it stands out as not just the best MCU series but the best comic book TV show ever made.

Daredevil: Born Againbrings the Man Without Fear back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe--and Hell's Kitchen needs him now more than ever. Taking place several years after Season 3 of the original Netflix series, the new Disney+ show marks the beginning of a new chapter for Matt Murdock and his friends in the MCU. As vigilantes become outlaws in the wake of Wilson Fisk's inauguration as the new Mayor of New York City, Daredevil is left to engage in yet another brutal crusade against the rising power of the Kingpin. The new series is especially exciting for Daredevil fans, as it promises to continue the Netflix series' terrific story and adapt several key elements from Matt Murdock's storyline in Marvel Comics.

Following a delay due to behind-the-scenes creative differences, the MCU’s highly anticipated Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, is finally here to reintroduce the hero. Given Daredevil’s street-level roots in the comics, Kevin Feige has chosen to film on practical sets within New York City itself, which will no doubt lend the series the air of realism that permeates Daredevil’s stories in Marvel Comics.
However, even White Tiger is set to appear in the MCU series. Additionally, fans have already seen shots containing graffiti that depict the Kingpin signed simply with “Muse.” This has left many fans of Marvel Comics excited, but who is the mysterious villain set to make his much-anticipated MCU debut?

The hallway fight returns in Daredevil: Born Again as Daredevil confronts an old foe once more.
IGN released a brand new clip ahead of Born Again's Disney+ release, highlighting a violent brawl between Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and a masked Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) shot as one of the franchise's iconic single-take fights. The battle sees Bullseye attack Daredevil with a variety of daggers and random objects, hitting him with several knives but failing to kill or knock him out. Instead, Bullseye weakly tries to make his way to the building's roof, only for Daredevil to swing up to the top shortly after he arrives and resume their fight.

Daredevil: Born Again takes place in the street-level corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's a part of this world in desperate need of expansion, and the hope is that Spider-Man 4 will continue doing so...despite rumours of it being a Multiversal affair.

Daredevil: Born Again is finally set to premiere on Disney+ next month after a number of setbacks, revamps and production delays, Marvel Television is wasting very little time in returning to the mean streets of Hell's Kitchen to get the ball rolling on season 2.
There were rumors that production on the second season of Marvel's revival series was scheduled to commence in late February, and star Charlie Cox recently confirmed that cameras will start rolling before the season 1 premiere.
Now, Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, has revealed that Born Again season 2 will be with us at some point next year.
That is the plan," said Winderbaum when asked if the show will eventually become an annual release during an interview with Screen Rant. "Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are...

Daredevil: Born Again is finally bringing back the beloved Netflix series in the MCU, with many of that series' original cast returning. Stars Vincent D'Onofrio (Kingpin), Charlie Cox (Daredevil), showrunner Dario Scardapane, and directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead sat down to discuss what fans can expect. Charlie Cox set the stage:
Some time has passed since the end of the series we did that ended in 2018... Matt [Murdock] has suffered a trauma that has meant that he's had to rethink his identity in a way that is probably more profound than we've seen before. He ends up going down a path which I think is best described as a band-aid that will have to be ripped off. Slowly and painfully."
While Daredevil: Born Again shares a title with a Frank Miller arc in the comic book, the series doesn't follow that arc necessarily, though it takes plenty of inspiration from it.

The upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series is already sparking buzz, especially with the mention of Muse. Dario Scardapane, the showrunner, has dropped some intriguing hints about this character’s impact.
Scardapane teased that Muse’s role is bigger than we might think. While we don’t have many details, he confirmed that what happens with Muse in this season will create a ripple effect that carries into future episodes. It seems like the character’s presence will be felt long after this season ends.
As for Muse’s nature, Scardapane didn’t hold back. He described the character as scary, dark, and creepy. From the sound of it, Muse will bring a unique and unsettling vibe to the show, making things even more intense for Daredevil.

Two new teasers for Daredevil: Born Again have been released, offering a thrilling preview of the long-awaited revival. The sneak peeks include some great shots of Matt Murdock suited up as Daredevil and brief new looks at villains like Bullseye and Muse.
We also see that the missing horn from the Man Without Fear's helmet ends up in someone's hands. Is that Wilson Fisk, or could Matt be carrying around a memento from his time as a vigilante? It's widely believed he'll give up being Daredevil for a time before realising Hell's Kitchen still needs him.
Marvel Studios has finally upped the ante with Daredevil: Born Again's marketing and we're hoping this means another trailer for the show is somewhere on the horizon.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Television boss Brad Winderbaum explained the importance of reuniting Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio in Daredevil: Born Again.

Daredevil: Born Again was originally announced as an 18-episode TV series. Likely realising how ambitious a feat delivering that many episodes over more than 4 months would be, the hero's small screen return has since evolved into two 9-episode seasons.
Will that be it for this long-awaited Daredevil revival or is there more to come from the Man Without Fear? Talking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed that, as things stand, seasons 1 and 2 of Daredevil: Born Again are essentially one big story.
"We've got some new stuff going on," he explained. "This season is really kind of Part 2 of season 1, so it allows us to go into bigger and different places."
Marvel Television boss Brad Winderbaum also chimed in to say, "100 percent it's a multi-season show. I don't know how many seasons it'll run. "
"This is really a question about Marvel television in general," he continued, "but I think it's...

The Daredevil universe just can’t stay quiet, can it? Fresh off the chaos of Born Again, the MCU might have another ace up its sleeve — Elektra. And not just any Elektra, but Elodie Yung’s razor-sharp, fan-favorite assassin. While nothing’s set in stone (yet), the hints are there.

Marvel’s bigwigs are playing it cool, throwing out lines like, “Eventually we’ll try to figure out a bit more with that.” Translation: They’re cooking something. And if Elektra is back, you know it won’t be a warm, fuzzy reunion.

Daredevil: Born Again hasn’t even hit screens yet, but the MCU is already looking ahead, and Elektra might be back in play.
