Brett Murray is a Production Sound Mixer who began mixing sound for short films, live music, and theater during his time in high school at Bayside Academy in Daphne, Alabama. After graduating, he attended the Maine Media Workshops to study film production. In 1996, he moved to Los Angeles to further his education and pursue his musical interests.
His production mixing on the feature film The True Don Quixote earned the Best Sound Award at the 2018 New Orleans Film Festival. He is a member of the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) and IATSE Local 479.
Brett Jennings Murray is the son of U.S. Air Force Major General and aerospace CEO James Lore Murray of Newton, North Carolina and artist Phyllis Jennings Murray of Plains, Georgia. The family made their home in Point Clear, Alabama.
Brett is based in Atlanta, GA.
