    • Richard Murdoch was born on April 6, 1907 in Kestow, Kent, England, UK. He was an actor and writer, known for Whoops Apocalypse (1987), It Happened in Soho (1948) and Band Waggon (1940). He was married to Peggy Rawlings. He died on October 9, 1990 in Walton, England, UK.

  • Served in the RAF 1941 to 1945.
  • British radio and film comedian and dancer, the son of a tea broker. He was best known for his successful partnership with fellow entertainers Arthur Askey and Kenneth Horne. Served in the RAF during World War II.
  • Made his stage debut in the chorus of 'The Blue Train' which after a short tour went to The Prince of Wales Theatre in London's West End.
  • Children included daughters Belinda Murcoch and Jane Murdoch who were both on the stage.
  • Moved to Tunbridge Wells when about 1 year old.
