There’s only one episode remaining in Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3, and the showrunner for the hit series just dropped a bomb about its future. Sullivan’s Crossing author Robyn Carr confirmed earlier this year that the show had been greenlit for a fourth season, but cast and crew have been shy about sharing updates while Season 3 has still been on air, until now.
Sullivan’s Crossing showrunner Roma Roth recently sat down for a tell-all interview on the future of the show, and she was asked if she could drop any details about the finale. While she, understandably, declined to share any specifics, she did tease a major bomb drop coming in the finale that will lead directly into Season 4:
“There’s never a dull moment at Sullivan’s Crossing. A romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters… we’re going to have a pretty big shoe...

“Sullivan’s Crossing” Season 3 is finally here, bringing us back to the Crossing. The CW romance will return in May after a slight release date delay, a few weeks after the season debuted in Canada, where it airs on CTV.
Based on the book series by “Virgin River” author Robyn Carr, “Sullivan’s Crossing” follows neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) back to her small hometown after her dream life in Boston gets turned upside down. Back home, she tries to rebuild a relationship with her estranged father, Sully (Scott Patterson), while falling for newcomer Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray).

The wait to find out where it all leads is almost over, so here’s everything to know about when and where you can watch new episodes of “Sullivan’s Crossing.

Last week's episode saw the couple's romantic stroll into a local mine take a turn when they accidentally cause a collapse right as the credits rolled. Ahead of the premiere tonight on The CW, Collider can share an exclusive sneak peek that shows the exact moment when they realize that something might be horribly wrong.

Netflix has released the full trailer for Season 3 of one of its biggest young adult hits, Ginny & Georgia, Season 3 of which could be headed down a dark path. The show returns to Netflix June 5 with 10 episodes.
Season 2 ended on quite a few chaotic notes, including Georgia (Brianne Howey) getting arrested at her fairytale wedding to Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter).
“You know what I loved about your wedding?” Jennifer Robertson’s Ellen Baker tells Georgia in the kitchen of the Baker household. “It wasn’t this cookie cutter copy and paste affair, it was very memorable.”
“Especially the part where I was arrested,” Georgia adds.
To be clear, Georgia did commit the murder of Tom Fuller, husband of Cynthia Fuller (Sabrina Grdevich), whom she smothered in Season 2 while he was already ailing and in hospice. And her son Austin (Diesel La Torraca) witnessed her do it while he was...

What does it mean to be human? The upcoming sci-fi film Simulant sets out to answer that very philosophical question. Set in the future, Simulant follows Evan [Robbie Amell], a man who was recently been involved in a car crash, but can't recall much from the accident. His grieving wife, Faye [Jordana Brewster], brought him back to life as an android simulant. To fully embrace what it means to be human, Evan seeks out Casey [Simu Liu], a global hacker and simulant expert who can liberate him from his core programming and allow Evan to make his own decisions. This restrictions-free Evan makes Faye uncomfortable. Meanwhile, government Agent Kessler's [Sam Worhington] robot-hunting mission to thwart the possible uprising of simulants puts him on a collision course with Evan and Casey.
Amell recently spoke with Cbr about his relationship with this A.I. character, crafting the performance, working alongside Simu Liu, and technological advancements.

April Mullen’s (Wanderer) seventh feature film, Simulant, is drenched in classic sci-fi tropes, but it never makes a mark of its own. Ryan Christopher Churchill's (Love Your Enemy) script is predictable up until the final ten minutes of the film. Though the cast is full of recognizable names and faces, none of them are up to the task of elevating Simulant in a meaningful way. The production value is where the film shines and both the practical and special effects are seamless, but Simulant is a story we’ve seen before that sadly brings nothing new to the genre.
In a world of increasingly more human A.I., the line between man and machine is blurrier than ever. These new hybrids, called simulants, are identical to humans with two notable exceptions. They are robots, and they have to abide by the four precepts: Do not inflict harm on...

In the movie world, since the very beginning, artificial intelligence and the threats to humanity when it comes to technology have been explored through several mediums. One of the first movies to delve into these subjects was the German classic Metropolis, which is still well-loved today as one of the original science fiction movies, but it also marked the very first-time artificial intelligence appeared on a screen.
Many years later, the likes of Star Wars, Blade Runner, and so many more have shown an explosion in the popularity of technology in cinema. In 2023, the beginnings of the realities depicted on the screen might be coming towards everyday consumers in the wealthy world, especially as concepts like ChatGPT expand and are built upon.

Sci-fi thriller Simulant is already breaking the mold by being an original story, directed by April Mullen (Wander) from a screenplay by Ryan Christopher Churchill. Despite not being tied to a tentpole franchise, it boasts a star-studded cast that includes Shang-Chi's Simu Liu, Upload's Robbie Amell, the Fast and Furious franchise's Jordana Brewster, and the Avatar movies' Sam Worthington. Amell plays Evan, a man who discovers he is actually a synthetic version of himself brought back to life by his partner Faye (Brewster).
Simulant bears similarities to Blade Runner, especially given the character of Agent Kessler (Worthington) who is meant to track down rogue A.I. and stop an uprising. The movie leans heavily on Evan's human memories, however, juggling his love for Faye with the new knowledge he is gleaming about A.I. from the mysterious hacker Casey (Liu). Simulant is a sci-fi thriller directed by April Mullen starring Robbie Amell, Jordana Brewster, Simu Liu and Sam Worthington.
It is a world full of misery, ruled by technology in which humans count for little, because Artificial Intelligence controls everything.
No, it’s not Italian neorealism. For at least the next six months, it’s science fiction.
Not the best.
Movie review Simulant (2023)
The trouble with dreams is that sometimes they come true, and the fictions that Aldous Huxley and George Orwell (or even Philip K. Dick) imagined are starting to come true with the advent of AI, and Simulant is just one of the thousands attempts of rendering to come.
It’s neither disastrous nor is it good, but the seed that brings it to life has neither an apotheosis formulation nor anything we don’t read about on the newspapers in a daily basis, nor is the story development brutal enough,...

"He didn't know that he was a Sim." Mongrel Media in Canada has unveiled the first official trailer for an indie sci-fi thriller titled Simulant, made by filmmaker April Mullen. This Canadian production will be in theaters in Canada in April, then in the US this summer. A humanoid A.I.'s attempt to win over a widow's heart places it in the path of a government agent trying to stop the rise of machine consciousness. It's about an android that is reprogrammed to try and be more human to win back his ex-lover, but this puts him in the cross-hairs of the Artificial Intelligence Compliance Enforcement (Aice) agency. This plot is just a twist on Blade Runner pretty much, with Worthington as the Deckard character. The film stars Robbie Amell, Jordana Brewster, Alicia Sanz, with Simu Liu, and Sam Worthington (as the agent). The director adds this comment regarding...

If you're the kind of person who races to Rotten Tomatoes before you give a movie the time of day, then you probably think Wander isn't worth your time.
After reading this review of April Mullen's interpretation of Tim Doiron's script, you might be persuaded to give the film another chance.
Not only is the story unique, but it's brought to life by an all-star cast. When a group of actors like this assembles for a low-budget film, it's worth considering that they saw something special in the material.
Although it will be tough, I will do my best not to spoil too much of the movie here in the review.
The more you know about the story's particulars, the less likely you will be surprised by what unfolds before you. This isn't the kind of movie that you'll enjoy if you know too much.

A “Jacob’s Ladder”-ish paranoid thriller arriving just in time to find conspiracy theories plunked right in the middle of post-election American politics, “Wander” only muddies the water further. This latest collaboration between director April Mullen and writer Tim Doiron offers yet another unpredictable shift, but pushes its idiosyncrasies off a cliff before establishing any narrative terra firma.
There is some pleasure to be had in watching an atypically frenetic Aaron Eckhart as a Ptsd-afflicted loner wading deep into possibly-imagined evildoings in the Southwest, with Tommy Lee Jones and Heather Graham also welcome as two allies. Still, the film’s hyperbolic style and convoluted storytelling tend to exhaust patience rather than build intrigue, making for a muddle whose too-many twists and turns ultimately seem meaningless as well as implausible. Saban Films is releasing the Canadian co-production to American audiences via digital, on demand and available theaters Dec. 4.

Aaron Eckhart is living on the edge these days, and he couldn’t be more excited about it. With April Mullen’s Wander set for release on Dec. 4, Eckhart is at the beginning of a “three or four” film run of independent releases that offer him the freedom he’s rarely found in the major studio system. On the set of Wander, Eckhart embraced the daily unpredictability of independent film, especially since it suited his character rather well. In the desert-set thriller, Eckhart plays Arthur Bretnik, an unhinged private investigator who’s trying to expose the conspiracy behind his daughter’s death.

"We're pinning down the truth." Saban Films has unveiled a trailer for a small town mystery thriller titled Wander, from filmmaker April Mullen. This just premiered at the Deauville Film Festival in France, but that's the only place it has screened. Aaron Eckhart stars as a mentally unstable private detective hired to investigate a suspicious death in the small town of Wander. He soon believes the murder may be linked to the death of his daughter and a "conspiracy cover up". From the looks of it, there may be some truth to this but not everything is what it seems. The film also stars Raymond Cruz, Katheryn Winnick, Heather Graham, Brendan Fehr, Nicole Steinwedell, with Tommy Lee Jones. This looks like so many other dusty small town crime thrillers, but at least Eckhart has a grizzled, unhinged character to dig into this time. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for April Mullen's Wander,...
