His wife, Anna Paquin, gave birth to fraternal twins (a boy named Charlie and a girl named Poppy) on September 12, 2012.

Played the part of a vampire in True Blood (2008) and he is attacked by humans. In Priest (2011), he played a human who is attacked by vampires. In Ultraviolet (1998), he played a human who is turned into a vampire and then killed by a human.
