    • Jaroslava Moserová-Davidová was born on January 17, 1930 in Prague, Czechoslovakia [now Czech Republic]. She was a writer, known for Dvojrole (1999), Vlastne se nic nestalo (1989) and Stredoletní noci sen (2005). She was married to Milan David. She died on March 24, 2006 in Prague, Czech Republic.

  • Became President of UNESCO in 1996, and was president of the UNESCO general conference from 1999 to 2001.
  • The last ambassador of an undivided Czechoslovakia to Australia and New Zealand from 1991 to 1993.
  • Treated dissident student Jan Palach who set himself alight in Wenceslas Square, Prague as a protest against the 1968 Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia.
  • Elected to the Czech National Council (Parliament) in 1990 at the first free elections after the end of communist rule. Elected to the Czech Senate in 1993.
  • Was a medical doctor by training who specialised in treating burns, and in plastic surgery, but was also a painter, sculptor, playwright and champion skier.
