Luis was Nominated Best Actor at The American Black Film Festival for his role as Alberto in the history making film Love & Suicide (2005).

He also received Independent Spirit Award nominations for his writing and producing abilities with the multiple award winning film Anne B. Real (2003). Anne B. Real received the John Cassavetes Award nomination, as well as the best debut actress nomination. Along with his Anne B. Real (2003) screen story by credit, Luis also co-writer the three main Hip-Hop song lyrics and diary entries performed by the lead character of Cynthia.

Luis acclaimed films include The Unseen, a drama shot in Atlanta Georgia. The history making romance, Love and Suicide, set in Havana, Cuba and New York plus the comedy Venus & Vegas (2010), shot in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Luis was also a producer on the feature film The Tollbooth (2004).

He can be seen acting in various film protects, including Siege, The (1998/I)King of the Ants (2003) and his debut starring role in Love & Suicide (2005). Luis performs his original stand-up comedy at various comedy clubs. He can be seen performing special comedy events and fund raisers throughout the country.

His current slate of films range from The true Native American story Whispers Like Thunder to the comedy The God Brother.

He began his writing career by creating, writing and hosting the first ever Latin-American real estate and travel television show "Real Estate America" which aired on the #1 Spanish language television network, Univision.

Luis is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he lettered and received NCAA awards for football. He studied acting at Mason Gross School of The Arts. He founded AnneFrankinTheHood.com. Luis on the Board of Directors for Santa Barbara Channels 17 & 21, and Gambassa.com.
