Temptation Island is officially returning for Season 2, and while I’m excited, there’s one question that keeps on lingering in my mind. How is the show ever going to work without Mark L. Walberg? He has done a lot for the reality show over the years with his remarkable hosting.
Walberg isn’t just the guy who introduces challenges or wraps up episodes, but he’s the heart of Temptation Island. No matter how wild things get, he knows how to bring depth and empathy into situations. That’s rare, and while everyone is tuned in for the drama, it’s actually Walberg who keeps us coming back.
Can Temptation Island really work without Mark L. Walberg?
Let’s be real – Temptation Island has all the necessary ingredients of a messy dating show. It has couples on the rocks, single people looking for love (or fun), and enough drama to fill your group chat.

Fans of the Friday the 13th movie series have a good reason to go binge-watch the original series of eight films from Paramount Pictures.
As reported by ComicBook, the first eight Friday the 13th films have been made available to watch for free on the free streaming platform Pluto TV. This includes all of the original movies to have Friday the 13th as part of the title, all of which were made under the Paramount umbrella. They are also the complete set of films from the franchise to be released in the 1980s, with the eighth film dropping in 1989. For some fans of the franchise, it marked the end of an era before the ninth installment, Jason Goes to Hell, took the movie series in a wildly different direction.

The Friday the 13th (1980) franchise has had a tumultuous time for more that decade, with legal battles preventing any new movies or shows being made. While that seems to be coming to an end, the director of the original 1980 movie, Sean S. Cunningham has been remembering one of the Jason kills he never got to shoot when his own attempts at a TV show collapsed.
Currently, A24 and Peacock are teaming up to bring Friday the 13th to the small screen with Crystal Lake, although even that has been proving problematic in its own way. However, long before that show was given the green light, Cunningham worked on his own TV series, but that project was cut short, as the director recently explained at Silver Scream Con (via Bloody Disgusting).
Some time ago, the rights expired on the original script, so then there became doubt about who owns what after 35 years.

With today being Friday the 13th, fans are rewatching their favorite entries in the iconic horror movie franchise to celebrate the day. While some relive the past, others lament the many lost projects that didn't make it to screens. One recent scrapped project is Bryan Fuller's Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake. Unfortunately for those already disappointed that the series was abandoned, one horror movie director has made things worse by calling the scripts for the series some of the best he had ever read.
Director Vincenzo Natali, best known for his work on films like The Cell and Splice, took to X/Twitter to share a little tease about Fuller's Crystal Lake series.. He also said, "The scripts for the first two episodes remain among the best I have ever read for any show." Sean S. Cunningham believes delays in any new Friday the 13th film due to studios being hesitant over potential returns. Legal disputes over franchise rights further complicate matters, stalling development despite initial hope. Cunningham, while optimistic about TV series and video game, predicts a new movie will not be in sight for at least 3 years.
Jason Voorhees has survived many things across several entries of the Friday the 13th franchise, but perhaps his biggest adversary has been a return to the big screen. 2009 was the last time the character stalked Camp Crystal Lake and since then the franchise was tied up in a legal dispute that put the series on hold until everything could be worked out. In 2023, director Sean S. Cunningham gave his blessing for a new Friday the 13th film, but nothing has come to fruition. Now, with news that the A24 TV series is seeking a new...

Kevin Bacon commemorated 44 years of Friday the 13th by recreating his iconic death scene in a hilarious video with his family. Bacon's role in the horror slasher was punctuated by a gruesome death while enjoying some pot, paving the way for his successful career. Stand-up comedian / actor Bill Burr just made his feature directorial debut with the Netflix-released comedy Old Dads (you can read the JoBlo review at This Link), which is cool and all… but here on Arrow in the Head, the horror side of the JoBlo Network, we’re more interested in hearing Burr’s opinions on horror films. That’s why it caught our attention when YouTuber James Whale Bake Sale made a video to go with a clip from Burr’s podcast Monday Morning Podcast in which the comedian discusses the horror classic Friday the 13th – and goes on to explain why he stopped watching horror movies.

In Sean S. Cunningham's 1980 slasher flick "Friday the 13th," Kevin Bacon plays a camp counselor named Jack who meets a memorable end. Jack and his girlfriend Marcie (Jeannine Taylor) enjoy a zesty round of marijuana and coitus while, unbeknownst to them, the corpse of their friend Ned (Mark Nelson) is stored in the ceiling above them. Marcie leaves to take a shower, and Jack lays back on the bed to relax and have a toke. A drop of blood lands on his brow. Jack is momentarily confused. His confusion doesn't last long, however, as the hand of a mysterious killer -- possibly the presumed-dead Jason Voorhees -- pops up from under the bed and grabs him by the forehead. An arrow pushes up from underneath the bed, puncturing Jack's neck from behind. The arrowhead emerges from his throat, and blood spurts up onto his face. Jack dies wearing a startled expression.

Three years ago, Paramount Pictures gave the 1980 classic Friday the 13th (watch it Here) a Blu-ray steelbook release to celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary. Now the folks at Fridaythe13thFranchise have caught word that Paramount is set to give the film a 4K steelbook release on October 10th – three days before an actual Friday the 13th rolls around on the calendar. As most diehard fans know, the original Friday the 13th was filmed at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, an active Boy Scouts camp in Hardwick, New Jersey. Unfortunately, the campgrounds are off limits to the public, meaning you can’t actually visit the filming locations outside of rare special events that the camp offers. There’s no denying that the 1980s were easily the most influential era in modern horror, between all of the incredible movies and filmmakers that rose through the ranks and changed the landscape of pop culture, the mind-blowing special effects that continued to raise the bar for the industry, and a cavalcade of memorable characters and performances that have continued to endear themselves to legions of fans in the years to come. Simply put, ’80s horror is the best.
