Check Out the First TV Spot for Brannon Braga’s Salem
We first told you about Wgn America‘s first venture into original scripted TV, Salem, back in June. Production began in earnest in November, and now we have the first TV spot, featuring the voice of wonderful Seth Gabel (Fringe, Arrow) as Cotton Mather, sounding appropriately judgmental, according to my graduate studies back in the day.

The witches in the spot, however, take “historically accurate” and dump it straight into the lake. Excellent!

TV Spot: Salem

For more details, check out the press release from when production began last month:

Wgn America enters the world of the most notorious witch trials in history with its first original scripted series “Salem,” as production begins today in Shreveport, La on the provocative Fox 21 drama. On an expansive set reflecting volatile 17th century Massachusetts, “Salem” explores what really fueled the town’s infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark, supernatural truth behind them.

In case you haven't been paying attention, witches are all the rage right now... and about damn time, too! Next to form a coven of its own is Wgn America, which kicked off production today on "Salem."

From the Press Release:

Wgn America enters the world of the most notorious witch trials in history with its first original scripted series, “Salem,” as production begins today in Shreveport, Louisiana, on the provocative Fox 21 drama.
