The Celebrated Film Guillermo del Toro Calls “A genre supernova” Is Now Free-To-Stream
Image
Who doesn’t love John Carpenter’s Halloween? It’s one of the greatest horror films of all time. We have Halloween to thank for the slasher boom of the ‘80s. The flick was a resounding success that resonated with critics and fans in equal measure. Not to mention, it also inspired future generations of filmmakers. Speaking of filmmakers upon whom the film imprinted in a meaningful way, Guillermo del Toro counts himself a massive fan of this beloved feature.

The Pacific Rim director once took to Twitter (I still refuse to call it X) to proclaim his undying appreciation for the flick. His tweet reads: “Halloween by John Carpenter. A genre supernova. Creates a taxonomic category that still lives. Unsparing precision, simplicity and elegance.”

Mr. del Toro said it far better than I could. Halloween is a benchmark of genre filmmaking to which all subsequent slashers will be compared,...

5 Horror Movies That Will Always Be Classics (& 5 That Aren't Scary Anymore)
Image
Horror films of any era often reflect the collective anxieties of people born in and living during that era. Be it the quality of visual effects, or the inaccessibility of the idea in later years, many horror films feel dated years down the line. However, the best horror movies from the 1980s, for example, not only reflect the collective anxiety over home invasions and losing autonomy over the body, but they're so timeless that some of them turned into franchises, while others inspired similar films for years afterward.

While a list of the best Korean horror movies can include entries from the past twenty years, the best Indian horror movies even include a film each from the '40s and the '60s. This demonstrates how vast the range of timelessness can be, depending on the cultural context of a horror film. Some anxieties are universal to the human experience,...

Halloween Star Jamie Lee Curtis Celebrates the Horror Franchises Legacy
Image
Jamie Lee Curtis, the actor known for her roles in True Lies, Trading Places and Everything Everywhere All at Once, celebrates the role that shot her into Hollywood stardom way back in the late 1970s. Curtis gave life to what remains one of her most iconic roles, that of Laurie Strode in John Carpenters slasher classic, Halloween. A role she has reprised as recently as 2022. In honor of spooky season, the actor took to Instagram to celebrate the spooky season and her legacy as the ultimate final girl.

In Halloween, Curtis plays babysitter Laurie Strode, a shy and introverted teenager living in Haddonfield, Illinois. On the night of Halloween, while Laurie is taking care of kids Tommy and Lindsey, and while her friends are misbehaving, the slasher killer Michael Myers comes home. 15 years ago, a then six-year-old Michael savagely stabbed his sister to death, and never spoke a word again.

Halloween: Why Michael Myers Is Called The Shape
Image
Halloweens villain Michael Myers has become a cinematic icon and a favorite among horror fans, and while many are aware that Michael Myers was originally named The Shape, they might not know why. The Halloween franchise has seen many ups and downs with multiple retcons, remakes, and reboots of the series. Though not all Halloween films have been successful, they have certainly helped maintain the popularity and reputation of Michael Myers, who is now part of pop culture, being referred to and parodied on multiple occasions in different films and TV shows from all genres.

Michael Myers is credited as "The Shape in the original Halloween before being officially credited as "Michael Myers" in the sequels, only for the most recent Halloween trilogy, including Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, to return to crediting him as The Shape. With the constant switching back and forth, and the fact that the name...

46 Years Later, Does the Original Halloween Movie Still Hold Up?
Image
John Carpenters Halloween was first released to theaters in October 1978 and quickly became a classic. For almost 46 years, Halloween has been the ultimate Halloween horror movie and is considered by many to be the start of the modern slasher movement. Boasting a highly memorable and foreboding killer in the form of the mysterious Michael Myers, a young but no less talented Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, and an incredible team behind the camera, this film has long been considered one of the essential slasher films by horror fans.

How to Watch Every ‘Halloween’ Movie Right Now
Image
It’s the best time of year to watch John Carpenter’s Halloween movies. Happily, all of them are available to watch on streaming services. Fittingly, there are 13 Halloween movies total, and while they’re all available on streaming, they’re not all available on the same platforms. The film that started it all came out in theaters on October 25, 1978. Set 15 years after murdering his sister, Judith, on Halloween night in 1963, Michael Myers (played by multiple actors in the first film) escapes from a mental hospital and returns to the small town of Haddonfield, Illinois, to kill again. Jamie Lee Curtis followed in her mother’s (Psycho star Janet Leigh) horror footsteps with her role as Laurie Strode, a part she would reprise in future films in the franchise including the recent releases in 2018 and after. Six people played Michael Myers in the first Halloween, in which the character appeared at multiple ages.

Halloween's Michael Myers Strikes a Pose With Michael Keaton on Saturday Night Live
Image
Michael Myers, the slasher killer from the Halloween franchise, received a makeover for an appearance on Saturday Night Live. While we're used to his raspy breathing while he walks toward his victims, this version was more interested in striking some poses and show some dance moves, rather than brutally killing babysitters.

The latest Saturday Night Live episode featured a segment called "Horror Choreographer," in which the director, played by Andrew Dismukes, discusses how they're about to shoot the most important scene in the fictional horror sequel, "Halloween Rises." The setup of the scene is very familiar to horror fans, with two teens sitting on a couch, and Michael lurking outside the window. However, it doesn't exactly follow the vibe of John Carpenter's classic.

Michael slides the doors and begins moving and grooving into the room, leading to the scene being halted and the "stunt movement coordinator" being called to the set.

25 Most Iconic Duos In Horror Movies
Image
Your browser does not support the video tag.

The most iconic horror movie duos prove that terrifying movies don't need an ensemble cast of survivors to make an impact. At the start of the first era of Hollywood horror movies, the focus was mostly on the monsters whether Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, or the Wolf-Man, the victims were never as important. However, in later years especially when the slasher genre grew in popularity in the 1970s and '80s the final girl and hapless teenagers made the story almost as much about the victims as the killers, even if it was just to see how they died.

Many of the most popular and iconic horror movies focus on duos rather than large groups, but these duos don't only include pairs of survivors going up against terrifyingly insurmountable odds. There are many duos that pair a victim with the terror that's...

Halloween: Every Actor Who's Played Michael Myers
Image
Considering the long span of the Halloween franchise, knowing who plays Michael Myers is tough, especially with more than one person often playing the slasher killer in each movie. Most of the scenes in the original 1978 Halloween film saw Michael hiding in the shadows before he finally launched his attack on Laurie Strode and her friends. As a result, multiple people filled Michael's shoes for the movie. Throughout the years, there have been 13 movies featuring Michael Myers.

As the franchise rolled on, the masked killer took a more prominent role and a few actors became well-known for portraying the man referred to in the Halloween scripts as The Shape. These movies included the original timeline, an alternate timeline where Laurie died and her daughter Jamie Lloyd became the Final Girl, another where Laurie lived and Michael kept trying to kill her, yet another with Rob Zombie's reboot, and finally...

This Iconic Scene in Halloween Is Inspired by Harrowing True Events
Image
John Carpenter's influence on the horror genre is matched by few, and there is a good reason why his name is held in such high regard. Carpenter essentially created the modern slasher genre with Halloween; he was not the first, but he established the rules that many still go by to this day. Halloween brought horror to suburbia, challenged conventional norms of the genre, and created a minimalist masterpiece that terrified and obsessed a whole generation of horror movie fans.

There are countless iconic scenes in the movie; from the opening of a young Micheal Meyers making his first kill to Annie's death at the hands of the masked killer. However, there is one scene in particular that draws influence from a true crime case that shocked the United States; the murder of Kitty Genovese.

Halloween: Every Time Michael Myers Was Unmasked & What He Looked Like
Image
While he wears a mask in the Halloween franchise, there have been a few instances when Michael Myers' face was revealed. Halloween is one of the most successful franchises in the horror genre, and while it has gone through different retcons over the years, the most recent one a reboot trilogy, it continues to be quite popular with the audience, and Michael Myers reign of horror in Haddonfield, Illinois always finds a way to continue. However, with all the changes made to the franchise over the years, Michael Myers' face has looked different each time it was revealed.

The Halloween franchise began in 1978 with John Carpenters Halloween, which introduced the audience to Michael Myers. Although Michael has remained the antagonist through all the retcons and remakes in the Halloween franchise, he has also gone through a handful of changes: Michael Myers iconic mask has changed through the years, different actors have portrayed the famous slasher,...

New Halloween Prequel Pitch Sounds Like Controversial Franchise Sequel
Image
Has the Season of the Witch returned, in terms of unconscionable decision-making regarding the Shape? Well, at the very least, Titus Peoples and Nigel Harden are threatening to repeat history where the Halloween franchise is concerned. The two creatives neither have any connection to the series Miramax is developing, for the record are collaborating on a spec script they hope will become a prequel series to the immensely popular horror franchise.

However, their proposed pitch, titled Loomis, revolves around the character of Dr. Sam Loomis before he ever encounters the homicidal Michael Myers, aka the Shape, in 1963. So, just as the disastrous Halloween III: Season of the Witch did back in 1982, the series wouldn't include the Shape. Peoples updated the proposals status on Facebook as follows:

Pilot episode 90% written. Super early development. Written and developed by Titus Peoples & Nigel Harden.

15 Incredible Fictional Serial Killer Performances In Movies & TV Shows
Image
Anthony Perkins' role as Norman Bates in Psycho set the standard for the slasher genre, with a shocking split personality twist. Anthony Hopkins' unmatched performance as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs won him an Academy Award in just 24 minutes on screen. Mads Mikkelsen's portrayal of Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the TV series Hannibal leaned more towards seductive, charming, and manipulative aspects.

Despite their deranged morality and insatiable need for murder, audiences cant get enough of their favorite fictional serial killers. As a glimpse into a horrifying world where tormented souls continually gave into their darkest impulses, following the stories of deranged killers allowed viewers to experience these chilling, consistent murderers from the safe distance of a fictional narrative. While they have not been real criminals, the effective performances of these killers meant their names were forever entrenched in popular culture.

John Carpenter Says No Cut of Halloween Exists Where Michael Myers Dies
Image
John Carpenter, one of the most important horror film directors of all time, has responded to a controversial social media post about his 1978 film Halloween. Using his own X/Twitter account, Carpenter was "kind" enough to set the record straight on a whole new cut of Halloween that audiences supposedly haven't seen. Per Carpenter's own words: "There is no different version of Halloween where Michael dies. This is total bullsh*t!"

Carpenter was referring to a tweet by @horrormuseum, in which it's stated that there's a version of the 1978 horror classic that no one has ever seen. Supposedly, the film is 95% different, and in the ending, Michael Myers dies. The source is cited as "a friend who worked on the Blu-ray restoration," so it's not very trustworthy,as Carptenter has brutally proven.

Iconic Horror Roles Actors Regret Turning Down
Image
Turning down a job can sometimes come back to haunt you, especially if you're an actor who passed up a role in an acclaimed horror movie and later regretted the decision. This scenario may be difficult to imagine. After all, who would pass up the chance to be in a movie or TV show, right? As fans, though, it can be easy to forget that the movie business -- for all its glory, fanfare, legacy, and importance -- is, at the end of the day, just that: a business. A person in any industry may decline a job that doesn't feel like good fit, doesn't align with their schedule, or maybe would have them working with a filmmaker or co-star they unsure of for one reason or another.

Halloween TV Series Will Not Link to Harshly Criticized Sequel: 'It's a Creative Reset'
Image
Miramax's Head of Worldwide Television, Marc Helwig, reveals the Halloween television series will be a "creative reset" of the horror franchise. John Carpenter's seminal 1978 film, Halloween, will be the foundation for the Miramax show. The Halloween series is a "big priority" for Miramax, according to Helwig.

“The night he came home” will be completely “reset” from a creative standpoint when the Halloween franchise eventually makes its television debut. The Head of Worldwide Television at Miramax, Marc Helwig, recently offered an update on the future of the Halloween TV show, while appearing on the red carpet at the global premiere of Netflix’s The Gentlemen series. Helwig said (per Deadline):

“The foundation of it is the original film, the John Carpenter movie, the characters of that film, and perhaps a group of characters that we haven’t really focused on that much in recent film versions or even in a number of them.

Halloween: What Unmasked Michael Myers Looks Like In David Gordon Green's Trilogy
Image
Halloween Kills reveals Michael Myers' face, showing how far the character has evolved in this classic franchise. Karen Nelson, Laurie Strode's daughter, unmasked Michael Myers to protect her daughter, Allyson, in a dark and out-of-focus scene. While Halloween Ends briefly shows Michael Myers' face with severe scarring and burns, not fully revealing it keeps the spirit of "The Shape" alive.

Halloween Kills sees Michael Myers unmasked for the first time in years — and it's one of the clearest reveals of Michael Myers' face so far. A sequel to 2018's Halloween and followed up by Halloween Ends, Halloween Kills is part of a revival of the franchise and a sequel to John Carpenter's original Halloween movie from 1978. The 2018 Halloween brought back original final girl Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), and the latest trilogy focused on Michael once again going on a murderous spree through Haddonfield. Though his mask is one...

Horror Villains Scarier Than Jason From Friday The 13th
Image
As the main villain of the Friday the 13th franchise, Jason Voorhees took his place alongside the likes of Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Pinhead as a horror icon. Jason, alongside his slasher counterparts, helped usher in a new heyday of horror, with audiences relishing the stories of them killing innocent teens, camp counselors and partygoers. However, Jason is far from the scariest his genre has to offer.

Jason Voorhees is one of the most successful horror villains of the genre, but he's outranked in the fear department by several characters. In fact, there's little horror buffs love more than debating who makes for the scariest villain in the genre. Like any type of film, horror depends on compelling villains to be entertaining, and the scarier these slashers, ghosts and monsters are, the better.

Horror movie monsters account for some of cinema's most terrifying villains. From classic Universal monsters such as Dracula, The Mummy, and Frankenstein's monster to King Kong, Godzilla, and The Thing, these iconic characters have been petrifying moviegoers for decades.

Although horror monsters are capable of being truly frightening, sometimes it is the characters grounded in reality who induce the most fear in audiences. Movie monsters are the work of fantasy while serial killers and murderers are character types the human race could actually cross paths with. Halloween's Original Michael Myers Suffered Extreme Pain To Only Make $25 A Day
Image
In John Carpenter's 1978 film "Halloween," the masked killer Michael Myers was played by multiple actors. For the bulk of his scenes, Michael — called "The Shape" — was played by Nick Castle, a film school friend of Carpenter's and a director in his own right. Castle also directed "The Last Starfighter" and "The Boy Who Could Fly." As a small boy, Michael Myers was played, in one scene, by an actor named Will Sandin in his first and last role on screen. In Pov shots, the hands of young Michael were provided by co-writer and producer Debra Hill, while the unmasked Michael — who appears only briefly at the very end of the movie — was played by Tony Moran.

Castle had the lion's share of screen time, however, and is generally thought of as the "official" Michael Myers by "Halloween" fans the world over. Castle would reprise the role for David Gordon Green...

James Winburn death: Michael Myers stuntman in Halloween dies aged 85
Image
James Winburn, the stuntman who performed scenes as Michael Myers in the 1978 movie Halloween, has died aged 85.

Winburn’s manager confirmed he died in hospital in LA on 19 November following an undisclosed illness.

One of the most notable scenes the stuntman performed in the movie saw Donald Pleasence’s Dr Samuel Loomis shoot Myers six times, causing him to fall off a balcony to his (seeming) death.

Winburn stepped in to film sequences in place of Nick Castle and Tony Moran, who both played Myers in the film.

He later returned as the iconic masked villain, also known as The Shape, alongside Pleasance and Jamie Lee Curtis in 1981’s Halloween II.

Winburn had attended the For the Love of Horror convention the month before he died. “We are extremely sad to learn of the passing of James Winburn,” UK-based Monopoly Events wrote on Twitter after news of Winburn’s death went public.

Original Michael Myers Stuntman James Winburn Has Passed Away
James Winburn
One of the first to play one of the big screen’s biggest horror icons, James Winburn donned the Michael Myers mask in John Carpenter’s original Halloween back in 1978, and we’ve learned the sad news this week that the legendary stuntman has passed away at the age of 85.

Winburn passed away on November 19 following an undisclosed illness, EW reports.

A few people, including Nick Castle, played Michael Myers in the original Halloween, with James Winburn performing the memorable balcony stunt in the horror classic’s climax.

“I put on the Michael Myers mask a number of times,” Winburn said during a Halloween Q&a session years back, noting that he filled in whenever John Carpenter needed Michael Myers to do things Nick Castle, Tony Moran and various others could not. Winburn added during that same convention interview, “I doubled [for] whatever John wanted me to do.”

This movie marks the feature directorial debut of Mike Clarke, who previously directed multiple short films, and Paul Gerrard, who has worked as a concept artist on a couple dozen projects, including the upcoming Evil Dead film Evil Dead Rise. Michael Myers Actor James Jude Courtney Confirms That Halloween Ends Is His Final Outing In The Franchise
Image
It's up for debate whether or not "Halloween Ends" is going to be the actual end of the "Halloween" franchise. The more recent installments have seen wildly mixed reviews, with passionate stances coming from both sides of the aisle — but if there's one thing "Halloween" fans can agree on, it's their desire for more Michael Myers. That said, it appears that Jame Lee Curtis, our longtime heroine Laurie Strode, isn't the only pivotal cast member who claims she is saying goodbye to the story for good.

Myers actor James Jude Courtney confirmed that "Halloween Ends" would be his last time donning the mask during an interview with ScreenRant published on October 18, 2022. He said:

"You know, [director] David [Gordon Green], and Jamie and I have talked about this, we're done. We're done. I think, for me, to put this character down, Jamie and I were talking on the set towards the end,...

Halloween Ends Ending Explained: Evil Changes Shape
Image
Partway through John Carpenter's original "Halloween," Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasance) is looking for Judith Myers' grave when a Graveyard Keeper (Arthur Malet) relays to the doctor the story of one Charlie Bowles, a man who used to live in a nearby town with a wife and two children until one day when old Charlie "went out to the garage and got himself a hacksaw" before going back into his house and greeting his family. Neither Dr. Loomis nor we the audience get to hear exactly what Charlie did next, but we can infer quite a bit.

Especially as "Halloween" is the story of one Michael Myers, a Haddonfield resident who, as a young boy of six, brutally murdered his sister on October 31st of 1963. Like Charlie, Michael's actions were similarly unexpected and unprovoked, leading Loomis to conclude that Myers was "purely and simply ... evil." Carpenter insisted that the...

Watch Michael Myers Himself, Nick Castle, Play Halloween Pinball for the First Time
Image
There's something both strange and amusing about watching Michael Myers himself playing some Halloween pinball, and that's exactly what happens in horror documentarian Sean Clark's latest YouTube video. At the recent Flashback Weekend horror convention in Chicago, Nick Castle was on hand to meet and sign autographs for Halloween fans. As anyone who really loves the slasher movie series will know, Castle was the first person to play the masked Michael Myers in the original Halloween.

At the event, a new Halloween pinball game was also present, and it was only fitting for Castle to give it a spin. With Sean Clark filming, Castle can be seen playing the new game for the very first time. With the familiar Halloween theme playing, the original Shape gets off to a rough start before he gets the hang of the game. Clark also gives us some closeups of the game itself while...

Actor Tony Moran Bad Mouths Halloween, Makes Outrageous Claims About Carpenter & Crew in New Video
Image
Any regular attendee of horror conventions already knows: If original unmasked Michael Myers actor Tony Moran is in attendance...You're gonna hear some wild stories. Those crazy tales recently resurfaced in a video compilation of Moran sharing some of his best anecdotes about the classic 1978 slasher classic Halloween. He tells some tales out of school about what happened behind the scenes with John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis that may surprise, shock and anger longtime fans.

He also goes after Chips star Erik Estrada and Happy Days favorite Scott Baio, while also going on a tirade of verbal assaults against Rob Zombie's Michael Myers, Tyler Mane. He also punches hard at William Shatner. But is anything Moran has to say the truth? Or is the actor just being braggadocious and purposely crude simply to get attention? You be the judge.

For those who don't know, Tony Moran, the older...

John Carpenter
Every Halloween Franchise Movie Ranked Best to Worst
John Carpenter
This might hurt my Halloween credibility but until I put this list together I had no idea that there are 11 Halloween movies. Yes, this film that was spawned by the great John Carpenter in the 1970s has, like its antagonist Michael Myers, lived on. To think that we are still making these films 40 years out is not only triumph of low budget filmmaking, but it's very a testament to the staying power of the horror film genre.

Now, just because we're still making these films doesn't mean that they're any good. In the case of the canon of Halloween films, mainly certainly aren't. What they are, above all else, is interesting and in the age of the reboot before the film is even released that is certainly saying something.

Which leads us to this new, 2018 version that wipes the slate clean. It picks up where the original Halloween from 1978 left...

Michael Myers Goes Unmasked in Creepy New Halloween Sneak Peek
Jamie Lee Curtis
With the new Halloween film stalking its way into theaters this weekend, Michael Myers has finally come back home. One more time, the Shape will come face to face with his longtime nemesis Laurie Strode, played by a returning Jamie Lee Curtis. Ahead of the film's official premiere, a newly-released teaser video from the film gives viewers their best look yet at Michael Myers, since the character was unmasked in the original film four full decades ago. You can take a look at the video down below.

In the clip, two true crime podcasters (Rhian Rees and Jefferson Hall) confront Michael in the insane asylum where the boogeyman has been locked up for the past forty years. They attempt to garner some kind of reaction from Myers by dangling his trademark mask, pleading for him to just take a look at it. Keeping his back to the duo, Myers slightly turns his head,...

10 Killer Facts About John Carpenter's Halloween
John Carpenter
It's the perfect slasher movie. Often imitated, never duplicated, John Carpenter's Halloween is a masterpiece of suspense and terror, giving the horror movie world one of its best-known masked villains: The Shape, aka, Michael Myers. Reboots, remakes, endless sequels, love 'em or hate 'em, there's no beating the 1978 original. Here we'll take a look at 10 killer facts about John Carpenter's Halloween.

The Babysitter Murders

John Carpenter nearly called this movie The Babysitter Murders. The director and his longtime producing partner, the late Debra Hill, co-wrote the script in just ten days. The production itself was remarkably short, too. Preproduction, principal photography, and postproduction took place over a combined 12 weeks. Carpenter composed the almost instantly iconic Halloween score in just three days.

Location, location, location

Haddonfield and Smith's Grove aren't real towns in Illinois, but they do exist elsewhere. Haddonfield, New Jersey was Debra Hill's hometown. Smith's Grove is actually in Kentucky,...

Michael Myers Is Unmasked In New Halloween Trailer
Michael Myers’ pale, corpse-like and incredibly creepy mask is so iconic that you could be forgiven for forgetting there’s a face beneath it. Traditionally, the slasher’s face is kept under wraps most of the time, though you get to see it in the finale of the original Halloween and now, in the briefest of peeks in this latest trailer for David Gordon Green’s hotly anticipated sequel/reboot.

The moment comes at 00:34 in the preview and shows his eye and the upper part of his head. Given that 40 years have elapsed since the events of the original movie, he’s obviously looking older, but otherwise in pretty good shape. Interesting, his left eye appears to have a scar across it, too, which neatly fits with Laurie Strode’s attack on him in the finale of the original movie.

We Now Know Who’ll Play Michael Myers For Most Of The Halloween Sequel
Unlike someone like, say, Freddy Krueger, the character of Michael Myers has mostly been played by different men over the years, with Tyler Mane really being the only actor to spring to fans’ minds when it comes to who can lay claim to being a repeat offender. But, in an ingenious move, Blumhouse Productions managed to nab Nick Castle for their upcoming Halloween picture.

Having been one of six men to don the William Shatner mask in the original flick (even if only he and Tony Moran were credited), it seemed only natural that Castle be sought out for the latest entry into the franchise – especially since it’ll serve as a followup to the 1978 classic, effectively ignoring all sequels in between.

So, naturally, we all assumed that it’d be Castle under the mask for the wealth of the new film, even if James Jude Courtney was also cast in the very same role.

New Michael Myers Actor Talks Putting On The Mask For The First Time In Halloween
David Gordon Green’s Halloween sequel is officially in the can.

After a relatively brief spell in front of the cameras, during which time Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie Strode) shared scores of set photos, filming on the pic has now wrapped and to celebrate, the folks over at Halloween Daily News caught up with James Jude Courtney to discuss his role as Michael Myers/The Shape.

For those who don’t know, it was Nick Castle who played the horror icon all the way back in the original film released in 1978. Well, at least for most of the picture. You see, Tony Moran filled in when Michael was shown to be unmasked, something we’re wondering if they’ll repeat in the upcoming sequel.
