- In 2012, with her Happy Days - Les jours heureux (1974) co-stars Anson Williams, Marion Ross, Don Most, and the widow of Tom Bosley, she sued CBS and Paramount for $10 million, claiming they never received merchandise royalties they were owed under their contracts. The case was settled out of court.
- Actress Susan Neher was the original Joanie Cunningham in Love and the Happy Days/Love and the Newscasters (1972), which was basically the pilot for Happy Days - Les jours heureux (1974). Moran eventually took the role of Joanie, at the request of Anson Williams, who had worked with her in Lisa, Bright and Dark (1973).
