After having mainly worked in exploitation cinema, she was a member for 5 years in the show La Classe on France 3. She has also appeared in numerous films and series.

Daughter of the owners of "Chaussures Montossé" in Perreux-sur-Marne, she spent her childhood and adolescence in several religious institutions: Notre-Dame de France (opposite Malakoff station), Notre-Dame du Bel-Air in Monfort -l'Amaury, and Carcado-Saisseval, private high school at 121 boulevard Raspail in Paris.

Muriel first worked with Spanish filmmaker Jesús Franco in 1979.
