The Fantastic Four: First Steps Worldwide Box Office: Beats This Hugh Jackman-Led X-Men Movie(Photo Credit –Facebook)

The Fantastic Four: First Steps has witnessed a sharp decline in its second weekend, which will impact its overall run at the box office. It will still benefit at the cinemas as there are no biggies to impact its run. Keep scrolling for the deets.

Hugh Jackman is known for playing Wolverine in the Marvel movies. He has also been in the X-Men movies and officially entered the MCU last year with Deadpool and Wolverine. The Librarians: The Next Chapter Finale Flips the Script, Setting Up a Crazy Season 2
Image
Well, that’s not how I expected The Librarians: The Next Chapter Season 1 to conclude, but I’m intrigued about where things will go next.

This series has been such a refreshing delight this summer that it’s a real shame it’s now heading into what will no doubt be a long hiatus.

That’s the curse of loving a summer series: just when you’re fully invested, it’s time to wait months for answers.

(Aleksandar Letic/TNT)

But we have a lot to unpack from this finale, so let’s dive in.

From the moment Gregor was introduced, the possibilities felt endless. He’s the kind of villain who thrives in a franchise like The Librarians — clever, dangerous, and theatrical enough that you never quite know what angle he’ll play next.

(Aleksandar Letic/TNT)

One of the unwritten rules of this universe is that villains rarely stay gone forever.

Franchise Favorites Are Returning — And It Might Be Exactly What The Librarians: The Next Chapter Needs
Image
When TNT canceled The Librarians after four seasons and countless movies, there were many unhappy fans.

When The Librarians: The Next Chapter was announced, there were questions about which franchise alums would be stopping by.

Now that we’re approaching the season finale, details are trickling out about the second season of the sequel series, including which guest stars are on board.

(Aleksandar Letic/TNT)

The cabler has confirmed that Christian Kane, who plays Jacob Stone, has booked a return visit to the series.

However, an episode could not have been determined for his role, but since Jacob is a crucial element of why the Library is currently functional in Belgrade, I doubt he’ll ever be too far from the drama.

(TBS/Screenshot)

Jacob is a part of The Librarians’ DNA, too, so that bodes well for him to continue making sporadic appearances.

One of the Greatest Sci-Fi Television Shows of All Time is Leaving Netflix Very Soon
Image
August will be a pretty distressing month for fans of Lost, but those in the U.S. have nothing to worry about — yet. The award-winning series remains one of the greatest of all time, having impacted numerous subsequent TV projects and popular culture at large. Comprising six seasons and 121 episodes, Lost ran from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, and was eventually released on a few streaming platforms, including Netflix. Sadly, the sci-fi drama’s time on the streamer is about to come to an end globally, with only a few months left for subscribers in the U.S. as well.

Netflix acquired the rights to Lost in July 2024, as part of a deal with Disney, covering both the U.S. and worldwide markets. What’s on Netflix has now announced that all six seasons of the series will be removed from the streamer in international regions on August 15, as the last day...

Gimli Actor Reveals One Of His Most Hilarious Lines Was Improvised In Lord Of The Rings
Image
The Lord of the Rings star John Rhys-Davies revealed that one of his most hilarious and memorable lines was improvised. Appearing in the celebrated Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings movies, Rhys-Davies portrays Gimli, a dwarf who accompanies Legolas and more on numerous endeavors. Throughout the franchise, Gimli demonstrates loyalty and combat ability and has always been a source of humor.

As played by Rhys-Davies, Gimli was introduced in The Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring, where he joins Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) in destroying the One Ring. That movie also features a now-iconic moment between Gimli and Legolas (Orlando Bloom), when the former shouts not to grab his beard.

During the By Beard and Hammer! Adventures with John Rhys-Davies panel at the Denver Fan Expo, which ScreenRant was in attendance for, the Lord of the Rings actor revealed thathe improvised "not the beard!" As Rhys-Davies explained, he landed unsteadily while filming,...

21 Years Later, a Sci-Fi Masterpiece With 1 of the Most Controversial Finales in TV History Is Quietly Dominating the PVOD Charts
Image
One of J. J. Abrams' most acclaimed (and divisive) series is dominating the VOD charts. A new report indicates that Lostis still quiet popular.

Per FlixPatrol, Lost has quietly found a foothold on the video-on-demand charts via iTunes. Lost continues to gain traction, rising two spots in recent days to reach the number ten spot on the list. Currently, the number one spot is held by Superman & Lois, with Rick and Morty and Arrested Development following behind in second and third place, respectively.

Lost premiered in 2004, and quickly it cemented its place as the then-latest television sensation. Created by J. J. Abrams, Jeffrey Lieber, and Damon Lindelof, the latter of whom served as showrunner alongside Carlton Cuse, Lost featured a star-studded ensemble cast who, for various reasons, found themselves stranded on a strange, secluded island filled with all manner of monsters and mysteries. The series' first season kicked off with...

In a rapidly modernizing American West, Long Shadows is the riveting story of a broken young man, a survivor of tragic violence, torn between his thirst for vengeance and love's redemption, with a soul so fractured that reality itself is questioned. 'Lord of the Rings' Sean Astin Recalls Panic Attack While Shooting Peter Jackson's Trilogy
Image
While Frodo is the most popular Hobbit in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy (based on the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien), fans are slowly coming to realize that Samwise Gamgee was the true hero of the story. Just as Frodo and Sam embarked on a perilous journey to Mount Doom, Sean Astin (who played Samwise in all three movies) recently revealed he had his own internal struggle during the film's production, one which led him to panic attacks.

Sean Astin recently reunited with his former Lord of the RIngs co-stars, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, John Rhys-Davies, and Andy Serkis, at C2E2 in Chicago. During the panel, the actor opened up about the emotional struggles he faced during the trilogy's lengthy production. "I remember at one point, most movies, even a big movie they used to be like 3 months or 4 months," Astin began. "When we got to 5 months,...

"That Was Kind of a Magical Thing": Billy Boyd and Dom Monaghan Recall 'The Lord of the Rings' Cast Behaving "Like the Fellowship" During Filming [Exclusive]
Image
The first Lord of the Rings film from Peter Jackson is just one year shy of celebrating the 25th anniversary of when the Fellowship of the Ring was first brought together on-screen. Made up of nine adventurers of varying races and backgrounds, with nine acclaimed actors embodying them, including Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Sean Bean, and more, the group has become one of the most memorable and likable bands of heroes ever to grace theaters, thanks to the camaraderie formed throughout their journey to destroy the One Ring. Filming the trek through Middle-earth, however, was just as much of a connection-building adventure, according to Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan, In an interview with Collider's Mike Zimmerman for their reality series Billy & Dom Eat the World, the pair reflected on their favorite memories from the production, both during filming and behind the scenes.

New Lord Of The Rings Lego Set Builds A Brick Version Of The Shire (And The Dragon Firework)
Image
There are few cinematic locations as beautiful as The Shire in Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, one of the greatest film franchises of all time. The cozy, green village where Bilbo Baggins and the rest of our Hobbit heroes reside is a picturesque fantasy locale, one that you can actually still visit down in New Zealand. However, since plane tickets are pretty pricey, Lego has a way you can visit The Shire without leaving the comfort of your home.

Lego

The building brick masters at Lego have announced the release of a new "Lord of the Rings" playset that lets fans build Bilbo Baggins' house in The Shire. The cute little hole in the hill is one of the most iconic locations in Middle-earth, and now you can build it yourself. 10 Details in Lost That Make Absolutely No Sense
Image
When Lost first aired, it initially appeared to be little more than a survival show. Much of the pilot seemingly implies that the show would be nothing more than a drama, mimicking the chaos of Survivor or Castaway. By the end of the first episode, however, it was already apparent that the show was nothing less than a complete mystery.

The show touched on every genre. There was romance, science-fiction, fantasy, horror, and anything else that could strike the attention of audiences. It was what made the show such an abject hit. Yet, while mystery was always the most outstanding element of the show, some mysteries simply were never solved. Some outright made no sense at all.

The Characters Hardly Reacted To the Plane Crash The Smoke Monster Was Pressing, But Not the Only Issue

Because of the circumstances of the crash, the characters rarely get the chance to actually respond to the disaster.

This Change to the Hobbits’ Story in ‘Lord of the Rings’ Weakens Their Relationship
Image
One of the things that makes The Lord of the Rings trilogy stand out is its characters, but the hobbits are especially memorable. Frodo (Elijah Wood), Sam (Sean Astin), Merry (Dominic Monaghan), and Pippin (Billy Boyd) each become a vital member of the mission to save Middle-earth, despite not having a particular skill set that suits them for the task. While Gandalf (Ian McKellen) is one of the most powerful beings and Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) is not only destined to be king but has training as a ranger and experience with a sword, the hobbits are completely unprepared, to the point that it seems odd that anyone wants them along at all.

10 Actors Who Turned Down The Lord Of The Rings Franchise
Image
One does not simply walk into "The Lord of the Rings" movies. Wait, that's not the right quote -- or is it? The point is Peter Jackson's trilogy was a big deal around the turn of the millennium, and everyone wanted to be a part of Middle-earth. Well, almost everybody, since a number of actors turned down "The Lord of the Rings" franchise.

It's always a good time to look back at the casting process of major movies and consider the big what-ifs. More often than not, these films go through significant changes to reach their final form, and not every actor envisioned for a role lands up in the part. Look at the risky move replacing Stuart Townsend as Aragorn behind the scenes of "The Lord of the Rings," even though production had already commenced. It paid off in the end, since Viggo Mortensen's Aragorn is arguably...

However, the conclusion to their story was far from fairytale-esque, as Monaghan’s struggle with partying eventually contributed to their growing rift, which led to a devasting break-up.

For years, the duo remained tight-lipped about their abrupt breakup. Although Dominic Monaghan did hint at a potential infidelity on the Ant-Man star’s part in 2013, the actor finally spilled the beans on Anna Faris’ Unqualified podcast.

Why Did Aragorn Stay in Middle-earth After He Became King in ‘The Lord of the Rings’?
Image
One of the most interesting debates in The Lord of the Rings lore is about who gets to go to the Undying Lands, especially after the end of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Bilbo (Ian Holm), Frodo (Elijah Wood), and Sam (Sean Astin) all get to go with Gandalf (Ian McKellen), followed by Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) later on, but Merry (Dominic Monaghan), Pippin (Billy Boyd), and Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) are never allowed to sail into the West. Especially in Aragorn's case, this seems a little unfair, given his crucial role in the Fellowship of the Ring, but it actually makes a lot of sense in his story that he stays in Middle-earth.

10 Weirdest Changes the Lord of the Rings Movies Made From the Books
Image
Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movies helped to bring J.R.R. Tolkien's work to life. They translated from the page to the big screen perfectly, helping to introduce Frodo, Sam, Gandolf, and countless other characters to a new audience. It continues to be viewed as a near-perfect adaptation, and it certainly proved it at the box office.

Still, not everything about the Jackson movies was perfect. There were some changes that it made to the lore. While some, like removing Tom Bobadil, were disappointing, they still made sense. Others were added or excluded with little explanation, and they just proved to be utterly bizarre developments.

The Movies Completely Changed the Grey Company The Army of the Dead Replaced the Grey Company

Ancient Historian Rates 'The Lord of the Rings' Battle as Historically Accurate
Image
The battle scenes in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy are among some of the greatest in cinema history. The Battle of Helm's Deep in The Two Towers and the Ride of the Rohirrim and the final Battle of the Pelennor Fields from Return of the King are fan favorites due to their grand scale, brilliant visual effects, and standout performances from the entire cast. But, you might be surprised to learn that the battles in J.R.R. Tolkien's seminal fantasy world are historically accurate.

Ancient historian, Roel Konijnendijk, sat down with Insider to rate battle scenes from movies, including The Lord of the Rings. He was shown several battles from The Return of the King, and surprisingly had high praise for them in terms of accuracy. He began with the endlessly quoted "Ride Now" scene from the Ride of the Rohirrim. "Him slapping the lances with his sword,...

Lord Of The Rings Cosplay Recreates Intense Nazgûl Fellowship Of The Ring Scene
Image
A new The Lord of the Rings cosplay recreates one key moment from Fellowship of the Ring to stunning effect. Based on J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved novel series, Peter Jackson released the first of his Lord of the Rings movies in 2001, introducing audiences to Frodo (Elijah Wood) as he embarks on an epic quest to destroy the One Ring. Fellowship of the Ring, like the two sequels that followed, was a major hit and was widely celebrated, with Jackson earning praise for the ways in which he brought elements of Tolkien's world to life.

Now, photographer Christina Fischer shares a cosplay that recreates one intense scene from Jackson's first Lord of the Rings movie. The photograph features two Hobbits hiding beneath the roots of a large tree as a Nazgûl lurks ominously above, a slightly altered recreation of a scene in which Frodo, Sam (Sean Astin), Merry (Dominic Monaghan), and...

Peter Jackson Names His Favorite Lord Of The Rings Movie
Image
When it comes to works of fantasy adaptation, The Lord of the Rings trilogy remains one of the most acclaimed and beloved. Peter Jackson directed all three installments, which were released in theaters between 2001 and 2003. The three movies, which serve as adaptations of the book series by author J.R.R. Tolkien, were all critically and commercially successful, and Jackson would ultimately return to the world of Middle-earth with his less successful Hobbit trilogy in the 2010s.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was the movie that started it all, introducing Elijah Wood as Frodo and kicking off his quest to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom. This installment was followed by The Two Towers, which features the climactic Battle of Helm's Deep, and finally by The Return of the King, the trilogy-capper that wraps up the stories of Lord of the Rings characters like Frodo,...
