Ariane Mnouchkine was born on 3 March 1939 in Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine, France. She is a director and writer, known for Molière (1978), L'homme de Rio (1964) and 1789 (1974).
Her play, "Mephisto," was performed in an Oxford Playhouse Company production at the Round House Theatre in London, England with Clive Wood, Ian McDiarmid, Godfrey Jackman, Cleo Sylvestre, Alison Spiro, and Martyn Stanbridge in the cast. Gordon McDougall was director.
