Gordon Mills was born on 15 May 1935 in Madras, Madras Presidency, British India. He was a producer and production manager, known for Edward aux mains d'argent (1990), Hot Shots! (1991) and Lake Placid (1999). He was married to Jo Waring. He died on 29 July 1986 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Trivia
Gilbert O'Sullivan dedicated his hit song "Clair" to Mills's daughter (later Clair O'Bryan) for whom he frequently babysat. Mills played the harmonica solo on the record and Clair's baby laughter can be heard at the very end.
