Seth Binzer, who was known to fans as Shifty Shellshock and the frontman for the rap-rock band Crazy Town, died on Monday, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office. Binzer was 49 years old.

Binzer died at a residence in Los Angeles, according to the Medical Examiner. No cause of death has been released and an investigation is underway as to the cause and manner of his death, according to the entry for the late musician on the office’s website.

After years of collaborating as The Brimstone Sluggers, Crazy Town was formed in 1999 when Binzer and Bret “Epic” Mazur brought in five musicians — Rust Epique, Doug Miller, James Bradley Jr., Antonio Lorenzo Valli and Adam Goldstein — to round out the band. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s website, Shellshock died at his residence on Monday, June 24. A cause has not yet been revealed. Born on August 23, 1974, Shellshock formed the rap-rock band Crazy Town in 1999 with fellow frontman Bret Mazur, with whom he’d previously collaborated under the name The Brimstone Sluggers. Crazy Town’s single “Butterfly,” released in October 2000, was a global hit, becoming number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and a top ten smash in several countries around the world. The success of “Butterfly” saw sales of the band’s debut album, The Gift of Game, increase tenfold, exceeding 1.5 million. ‘Bojack Horseman’ Home Video Deal Unites Shout! Factory And Michael Eisner’s Tornante Company
Bojack Horseman, the Netflix animated series and tastemakers’ delight, is branching out from its streaming home via a multi-year deal for home entertainment rights with Shout! Factory and Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company.

Netflix will continue to stream the series, with its upcoming sixth season due in 2019. Shout! and Tornante will have exclusive Blu-ray and DVD rights to the first four seasons of the show in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, and Éire; and seasons two through four for home entertainment releases in Australia and New Zealand. The first five seasons are available on Netflix.

The deal was announced by Shout! Factory’s founders and CEOs Bob Emmer and Garson Foos; Jordan Fields, Shout’s Vice President of Acquisitions; and David Shall, COO and General Counsel, for Tornante Television.
