Tom Brady Freaks Out At His Buccaneers Teammates During Rough Game Against The Steelers
Image
Tom Brady was not having it during Sunday’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game.

The NFL star appeared to be frustrated with his team during the second quarter, just before half-time, as the Bucs were down 10-6. In a video posted by Fox Sports, Brady is seen yelling at three of his benched linemen.

“You are so much better than the way you’re f**king playing!” the quarterback screamed, per CBS News.

Announcer Joe Davis then commented: “He is fired up, talking to his offense along the sidelines.”

MLB at Field of Dreams Game 2022: Will the Sequel Be as Good?
Kevin Costner in Jusqu'au bout du rêve (1989)
MLB returns to a cornfield in Iowa for a baseball game and a tribute to the classic movie Field of Dreams and one of the film’s stars, Ray Liotta. After the first MLB at Field of Dreams Game between the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox was a big hit, MLB and Fox are ready to release the sequel. The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds will emerge from the cornfield on Thursday, August 12, for a game taking place on land adjacent to where 1989’s Field of Dreams was filmed in Dyersville, Iowa. Kevin Burkhardt, David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez lead the pregame show at 6/5c, which will also pay tribute to Liotta, who died May 26, in a piece voiced by fellow castmate Kevin Costner. 'Criminally Insane' (1975) Review
By Chris Wright, MoreHorror.com

Directed By: Nick Millard

Written By: Nick Millard

Starring: Priscilla Alden (Ethel) Jane Lambert (Mrs. Janowski “Grandmother” ), Lisa Farros (Rosalie), Michael Flood (John), George ‘Buck’ Flower (Detective), Cliff McDonald (Dr. Gerard), Charles Egan (Drunk Man).

For a movie with such a silly plot, I am surprised at how much I enjoyed this low budget flick! Also known as “Crazy Fat Ethel”, this Criminally Insane certainly will not appeal to some but will for those who enjoy a fairly well made low budget horror film. Nick Millard’s movies tend to be sleazy low budget movies with a pornographic twist that attracts a small cult following. Among other films are “.357 Magnum” and “Satan’s Black Wedding”. “Criminally Insane” was released by big box budget label World Video Pictures and subsequently received a double feature DVD release several years ago.

The plot begins when Ethel is released...

The Mad Legacy: An Interview with Nick Millard
A little while back, I had the distinctive honor of talking to horror film director Nick Millard, the genius behind Criminally Insane, Death Nurse, and dozens of other wonderful films. Mister Millard has been in the biz since the 1960s, starting out making sexploitation films like Uta and Nympho. In 1975 he went into horror with Criminally Insane, and in 1977 he made action movie history with .357 Magnum. Nick has always been one of my all-time favorite directors, ranking with Norbert Moutier, Todd Sheets, James Bryan, and Doris Wishman, so I had to restraint my inner fanboy to bring these words to print. Take it away, Nick!

Adam Mudman – I’ll kick things off in the best way possible; by asking how you got your start. How did this all begin? How were you raised, and how did it impact your decision to become a filmmaker?

Nick Millard – I remember how it started.

Running the Asylum: An Adventure in Continuity with “Criminally Insane”
There’s kind of a thing with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Doesn’t it always seem like when Tim Burton sits down to make a movie, Johnny Depp plays a main character? There was a similar bond between director Nick Millard and Priscilla Alden. In this instance, Priscilla Alden—who opened up Millard’s alteration from softcore porn to horror cinema with the 1975 Criminally Insane—appears in many, many Millard films. She’s not alone. There are a bunch of other actors—only about four or five others, really—who appear constantly in every single horror movie Millard made up until Death Nurse 2 in 1988. To some, the fact that so few different actors just shows that Millard was a lazy filmmaker who didn’t have any friends. And to me, it shows that there’s something else: continuity. A shared universe. Something that goes beyond just one or...

Lady Street Fighter (1985)
Director James Bryan (of Don’t Go in the Woods fame) has brought us a movie that opens with a scene of a topless woman tied to a table, shrieking like an old lady as a shirtless guy whips the table with a stick (missing the actress, of course), while old-timey saloon music plays in the background.

Oh God, I hope this thing holds up.

This is a James Bryan movie, ain’t it? Those cuts! Those lines! Those dubs! Holy cow! It’s not hard to spot Renee Harmon in this mess. She’s the lady who did Frozen Scream (Monsieur Bryan was part of that, too), she of the intangibly wonderful (Eastern European?) accent that makes you want to laugh, to cry, to scream until you can’t take it anymore. She is fabulous. “I-i ahm just a bawd mawn, Ronul,” she says. “What?” we whisper, not wanting to offend her.

How I Walked Beyond the World, and What I Saw There; Adam Mudman’s Best and Worst of 2011
Wow. 2011 ran up and hit and left a big mark on the face of the world. I’m still stinging a little, but I’m also analyzing the pain. It’s quite bad. It’s sore, it stings, and I think I’m bruised (though it didn’t break the skin). I think about why I have this pain, and I think…wow. Was I dumb enough to do that?

But then again, it’s not that bad. In some ways, it was a literal love tap. Actually, in a lot of ways it was a literal love tap. I feel the love, more than I feel the pain. And I can smile, pretty easy, and I think: wow. I really did all that.

I loved and hated a lot of what I watched this year. I’m going to share my greatest foes and my biggest crushes of the year with you.

Uta (1969)
Vampirism—an all-too-real affliction, driving people to feast on human blood. It sounds horrific, but it gets worse. There’s a type of vampirism called exploitation—an unsettling but sometimes pleasing meal of domination over the weaker, though not just that; the filmic record of human pleasure on the subject of domination. The mere word “domination” is exploitative, because we’ve tied it to human sexuality. Domination is one of the keywords of exploitation and exploitation is vampirism. Vampirism is horrific. And thus we have Uta—a film from born-again horror director Nick Millard, from his sleazy sexploitation days. A film that shows the director at his lowest in the days before he reached his highest—when his highest was the eerie mind-screw known as Criminally Insane. But more on that later…

Uta is one of those prostitutes that you joke about who isn’t doing it to go through college.

Director Brian Dorton Takes On the Criminally Insane
Doesn’t ring a bell? Maybe you know the flick by it’s other name, “Crazy Fat Ethel”. Then again, maybe you don’t. If you’re unfamiliar with Nick Millard’s bizarre 1975 horror flick, you need to fix that problem as soon as possible. And while the idea of a remake is somewhat distressing to someone who loves the original so much, there’s honestly a lot more that could be done with the premise should someone decide they’re brave enough to tackle the project. Apparently filmmaker Brian Dorton is going to give it a shot, as he’s serving as writer, producer, and director. I’m actually kind of curious to see what he does with it. Here’s a quick synopsis to enlighten your life: After years in a mental institution, Ethel is taken in by her aunt. Many people including the head nurse of the...

The Future (2011)
/Film Boston: IFFBoston Announces Lineup
The Future (2011)
The Independent Film Festival of Boston [1] recently released their full line-up and it's a doozy. Sundance favorites such as The Future [2] and Submarine [3] will be there, along with awesome documentaries like Being Elmo [4] (With Elmo In Attendance!!!) and Page One: A Year Inside the New York Times [5]. I'm looking forward to films I wasn't able to catch at Sundance and SXSW, such as the legal documentary Hot Coffee, the heartbreaking How to Die in Oregon, and the new fascinating Conan O'Brien film. Takashi Miike's 13 Assassins [6] also looks like it will rock the house. The full line-up is below. The festival is April 27th through May 4th, and it's one of my favorite movie events of the year.
