Has two children: one daughter, Avalynn Karen Ann Reeves (b. 2016), with ex-husband Karl Reeves, and one son, Edward (b. 2020).

She has an older sister named Joy.

On her first birthday, Julianne caught the eye of a CBS TV News reporter and her cameraman while playing with toys at FAO Schwartz Toy Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. The reporter referred to Julianne as a "super gorgeous toddler" with an infectious smile, and that evening she appeared on the CBS TV Ch 2 news program.

Won the Best Young Leading Actress Award on December 10, 2006 from The Young Film Festival in Wroclaw, Poland for her outstanding performance as Terry, a teen who battles her drug addiction in the feature film, The House Is Burning.
