Hillel Meltzer grew up in San Diego where he attended the School of Creative and Performing arts. He received a BFA in Acting from Boston University and completed the two year Meisner Conservatory at the Maggie Flanagan Studio in NYC. He was Cast and led the original American ensemble of STOMP at the Orpheum Theater NYC. National and world tours, dozens of television appearances, an Oscar winning short film and an Emmy winning HBO original production with the company followed. Next, Broadway in the Moliere classic Scapin directed by Bill Irwin, Off Broadway co-starring in CSC's The Alchemist with Dan Castellaneta and Jeremy Shamos earned Hillel rave reviews including being compared to a young Alec Guiness by Clive Barnes. Continuing Off Broadway Hillel worked with playwright Tony Kushner and Actor Michael Stulberg in the Public Theaters production. A Dybbuk. Returning to Broadway he joined playwright Tom Stoppard and the cast of Jumpers which received a Tony nomination for Best Revival. Hillel Can be seen co staring in the Independent feature films The Tenant and Future 38 with actor Betty Gilpin which received an Audience award at Slamdance Fest and the Grand Jury award at the Gasparilla Film Fest. He is also currently in HBO's The Plot Against America as Marty Lefkowitz.
