Producer/Director Alan Mehrez grew up in the film business. As a child he acted with such talents as Doris Day, Nancy Sinatra, Rod Taylor and Harvey Korman among others. His God Father Writer/Director Charles Lederer ("Mutiny on the Bounty", "Gentleman Prefer Blonds", "Oceans 11", "Kismet", "The Spirit of St Louis", "The Thing", "Monkey Business" ) who spent the last five years of his life in the Mehrez family home helped influence and guide the young film maker.

From the age of 15 Mehrez worked in the family Business known as Cine-Cam Total Picture Services. Cine-Cam was one of the biggest Camera and Equipment Rental Companies. Cine Cam provided Equipment and Production Crews to Studios and Independent Production Companies. The young Mehrez who was then a student at Beverly Hills High School worked as a Second Assistant Director, Second Assistant Cameraman and Production Assistant.

In 1974 at only 16 years of age Mehrez enrolled at U.C.L.A. During the time Mehrez attended U.C.L.A. he continued working on film projects. Mehrez graduated from U.C.L.A. in 1977 (B.A. with Honors) at the age of 19. In 1977 Mehrez was accepted to Harvard Law School. He deferred his entrance to 1978 in order to take a position as President of Cine-Cam for one year. In 1981 Mehrez received a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and went to work with E.F. Hutton & Company where he became one of the youngest Vice-Presidents. While at E.F. Hutton & Co Mehrez managed a very large investment Portfolio. By 1992 Mehrez had an itch to get back into the Film Business. He left E.F. Hutton and began producing and directing films. Since 1992 Mehrez has Produced, Directed, and/or distributed some 20 Film + Projects. In addition to his work as a Producer/Director Mehrez has attended some 50+ International Film Markets as Head of Foreign Sales for a large Independent Company based out of Los Angeles, California.

Mehrez is associated with the successful Bloodsport Series of films. The first" Bloodsport" launched the career of Actor Jean Claude Van Damm. Mehrez Produced and Directed "Bloodsport II" and "Bloodsport III" and he Produced "Bloodsport IV". All of these films were well distributed World Wide (U.S. Distributor Lionsgate) and enjoyed a great deal of commercial success. The "Bloodsport" films are known for incredible action, many of the Stunt people that worked on the Bloodsport films that Mehrez was associated with have gone on to head the Stunt Departments of major films such as "Matrix" and "Matrix Reloaded" starring Keanu Reeves and the "Bourne Ultimatum" starring Matt Damon.

In addition to The Bloodsport films Mehrez Produced other commercial films that include "Savate" which was an HBO Worldwide Premier and Distributed by MDP Worldwide Internationally, "Cyborg 3" Released by Warner Brothers and "True Vengeance" which was released as Cable Premier and went on to do an excellent business on Video. Mehrez gave Kurt Johnstad his first credit as a writer for the screenplay that the film "True Vengeance" was based on. More recently Johnstad penned the screenplay for the movie "300" which is one of the Top 100 Highest Grossing films of all time.
