Mark J. McLaughlin has spent 28 years handling over 500 heinous criminal cases as an Internal Affairs Investigator and Digital Forensic Expert, generating a wealth of stories that would envy any writer. He's trained in SWAT tactics. His Juris Doctorate degree provides legal insight and a unique perspective to his storytelling. The 2024 IFC feature Skincare, starring Elizabeth Banks, was based on a criminal case that Mark investigated.

Mark's father was an Emmy Winning television, film, and stage actor, and his mother was a writer's assistant for over 35 years. Mark is an accomplished airplane and helicopter pilot, avid sailor, and open-water diver. He's married, loves golf and portrait photography, digs music, and resides in Los Angeles.
