Graduated from University of Washington with a BA in Acting/Theater,
McInnis was Programmer/Publicist for the Seattle International Film
Festival for six years while working as a film journalist for various
publications including MovieMaker Magazine. She left the festival to
pursue freelance writing and independent producing; returning to the
festival in 2001 to produce both the Fly Filmmaking Challenge as well
as the Fly Film Spare Me (2001) from Director Guinevere Turner.
