Marian McCargo was born on 18 March 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She tried out for the role of "Maggie", on Falcon Crest (1981), the mother of "Cole", the character played by her son, William R. Moses, but was rejected because she looked too old. She later tried out for the part of Maggie's mother, but that time she was too young. She later got the part of Jordan Roberts' mother.
