Biography

Sara A Matthews is known for producing, writing and acting in Following DCastro, an Art Documentary, in production 2023. In 2022, Jacob's Honor became viewable on YouTube (screened at other Venice Film Festival Oct. 2018). Her upcoming projects include Jacob's Honor 2, these films focus on Veterans, PTSD and Suicide Prevention. (jacobshonor.com). She got her start in action movies: Street Angels, Night Realm, Flight to Danger (director/writer/actress), Too Good to be True and others. She also acted in 2018, Dreams I Never Had with Malcolm McDowell and Iyad Hajjaj. She was born in Corpus Christi, TX. She worked in theater and film receiving a BFA in Cinema from SMU in Dallas before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her interests in Film and Health. In 2004, she received a MS in Nutritional Science becoming a RDN/Dietitian working as a speaker for media and other corporations: ESPN, Disney, MTV, AOL, ABC, GE, LAUSD, etc. Other acting credits include Soulmate Specialist: director/producer/actress and Clearsinogen: producer/actress for 168 Film Project, a faith-based film competition. Her direction for health, wellness and fim began with years as a dancer becoming a member of Houston Allegro Ballet at age 16. She moved into a long career of teaching exercise and dance owning Cardiofit Trainers bringing fitness, dance, yoga to schools, businesses and community including LA City Hall. Her messages of health continues into filming dance and art therapy in her music videos, feature films and short films.
