Because she was well-known for her appearances in the "Gold Blend" coffee adverts on TV, the writer of the Inspecteur Morse (1987) episode, Deceived by Flight (1989), mischievously gave her character the line, "Coffee! Ugh! I *hate* coffee. It gives me a headache".
