Christopher "Peacemaker" Smith (John Cena) may have helped foil an alien invasion, but he's still the butt of jokes in the superhero community. In the "Peacemaker" season 2 premiere, Peacemaker interviews to join the "Justice Gang." However, neither Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), nor the team's moneyman, Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn), are impressed by him.

The interviews take place in an abandoned storefront labeled "Krank's Toys." That's not a real brand, but it does have some DC Universe history behind it. The cartoon series "The Batman," which premiered in 2004, featured the villain Cosmo Krank/The Toymaker (Patton Oswalt), the former owner of Krank's Toys turned super-villain.

A little over a decade ago, Sony Pictures set out to grow the "Amazing Spider-Man" franchise into a whole cinematic universe. Beginning in 2012 with Marc Webb's reboot, which starred Academy Award-nominee Andrew Garfield as the titular webhead, the studio had ambitious expansion plans with the upcoming sequel as well as a slew of spinoff films that were in development. Although "The Amazing Spider-Man" didn't receive the most enthusiastic reception from critics and fans compared to Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire's "Spider-Man" a decade earlier, people were still interested to see what Webb and Garfield had in store for the sequel. It offered a chance for this new reboot to distinguish itself without having to follow the tried-and-true origin story again.

David Duchovny says he feels like he “discovered” Angelina Jolie, his Playing God co-star.

The X-Files alum recently revealed in a new interview that he was part of the casting for the 1997 film directed by Andy Wilson.

“I feel like I discovered Angelina Jolie,” Duchovny said on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy when asked what he thought about his former co-stars.

Host Andy Cohen asked Duchovny to explain, with the actor saying, “Yeah, cause I was casting, I was part of the casting. I didn’t discover her, but… she came in, and I just knew she was a movie star, and I told everybody [that] we’ve gotta cast her.”

Why Is The Crow Movie Being Remade?

The Crow franchise was heavily targeted in the '90s with several storylines that feature the Crow symbol.

The original '94 film garnered a lot of attention after the lead actor, Lee (son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee), tragically died on set during filming.

Yesterday, we saw the first images of what Bill Skarsgard of the It films is going to look like as goth rocker Eric Draven in director Rupert Sanders’ (Snow White and the Huntsman) remake of the 1994 classic The Crow (watch it Here). There weren’t a lot of positive reactions, with many fans comparing Skarsgard’s look – which Sanders said was a mixture of his own look in the ’90s, “when we were squat-raving in London,” with modern influences like Post Malone and Lil Peep – to Jared Leto’s poorly-received version of The Joker in Suicide Squad. One person who took to social media to blast the look of the new Eric Draven was Alex Proyas, who directed the ’94 version of The Crow.

Lionsgate’s unveiled the first three official photos from The Crow. Directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman), the 2024 adaptation of James O’Barr’s bestselling graphic novel is described as a “modern reimagining” of the story.

The first three photos feature the film’s stars Bill Skarsgård and singer/songwriter FKA twigs. The cast also includes Danny Huston.

We recently heard that Lionsgate has picked up the distribution rights to the reboot of the classic film The Crow (get it Here), which was released by Miramax back in 1994. Before Miramax acquired it, The Crow had originally been set up at Paramount. They decided to let go of it due to the controversy surrounding the on-set death of star Brandon Lee and the amount of violence in the film. So when Paramount acquired Miramax back in 2020, gaining the rights to The Crow in the process, it was like the film had gone full circle. It came back to Paramount. Recently, cinematographer Dariusz Wolski, mentioned a 4K restoration of The Crow would be on the Paramount Plus streaming service soon. After more than 20 years, Tales From the Hood 2 is finally happening. The horror anthology genre has come and gone over the years, but it's delivered its fair share of cult classics in the decades that the sub-genre has been around. Variety confirmed the actor's death with his agent, after the news first circulated on actor Anthony Delon's Instagram page on Monday. Michael Massee, an actor whose growling voice and intimidating mien made him one of Hollywood’s go-to portrayers of villains, murderers, and serial killers, has died. According to Variety, Massee was 61.

Michael Massee, who died Wednesday at the age of 61, is unfairly known as the man who killed Brandon Lee on the set of the 1994 film, “The Crow.” According to the New York Times, Lee was 28 years old when a prop gun was improperly prepared and discharged at him from 20 feet away, firing a bullet into his stomach. He died after several hours of surgery on March 31, 1993. The gun was supposed to fire a blank cartridge. Although he had a long and fruitful career in both movies and television, the beginning was enough to send a lesser man running for the exit.

Massee's second credited role was as Funboy in the feature film The Crow opposite Brandon Lee.

It was into his hands the fateful, improperly loaded gun was put, out of which a live round was shot directly into Lee's stomach.

Lee died later that day in the hospital after an unsuccessful surgery. 

If all had gone well, the shot would have turned Lee's character into The Crow, and perhaps another type of movie history would have been made. It just wasn't meant to be.

Last week, we reported that the Target exclusive Blu-ray release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 includes confirmation from director Marc Webb that the end credits stinger includes The Sinister Six villains Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio, although the filmmaker later admitted that he isn't even sure if they will appear in the spin-off. However, given Sony's recent announcement that The Sinister Six will hit theaters in 2016 and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 has been moved to 2018, some believe that these special features are already outdated.

Among the details Marc Webb revealed in last week's video include a deleted scene where The Gentleman a.k.a. Gustav Fiers (Michael Massee) approaches the cryogenically frozen head of Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper), which paves the way for the OsCorp founder to return for "the next movie," which we believe he meant The Amazing Spider-Man 3. We know Sony has been working on an "Amazing Spider-Man" spin-off film featuring the "Sinister Six," a kind of 'Avengers' of villains from the Spider-Man comics.

During the end credits for this year's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," we also saw sketches that seemed to reveal who these bad guy are - Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter and... it's unsure. The last one on the list was a mask which lead to suggestions it could be either Mysterio or Chameleon.

Now, word comes of a new video featurette on the bonus disc of the Target-exclusive Blu-ray release of the film. In said clip, Webb confirms Kraven and Mysterio are a part of The Sinister Six line-up.
