Jennifer Lopez Didn’t Know If ‘Halftime’ Documentary Was Possible: ‘This May Not See the Light of Day’
Image
Jennifer Lopez is reclaiming “Let’s Get Loud” from a club anthem to the mobilization of political activism as part of her second act.

The triple-threat talent who started as a dancer in the Bronx forged an acting career beginning with her Golden Globe-nominated debut in “Selena,” and took over the world as a pop star before becoming a global entrepreneur and humanitarian, reminded audiences at the Opening Night of the 2022 Tribeca Festival that she’s not even close to being done conquering the world — less than 50 percent, to be exact.

The J.Lo documentary “Halftime,” directed by Amanda Micheli, world-premiered at the United Palace theater in Washington Heights on June 8, before debuting on Netflix June 14. The star-studded J.Lo event marked a homecoming for the Bronx-born “Hustlers” icon — and was also the first time Lopez herself had seen the film.

Its Action! section will also feature two films starring Scott Adkins - Boyka: Undisputed and Savage Dog - who will be in attendance at this year’s festival, as well as the North American premiere of the restored 3D version of James Cameron’s classic Terminator 2: Judgment Day. For the first...

Fantasia 2017: The Rest of The Fest, to The Last, Bloody Drop
It is the same thing every year. We leave the previous Fantasia International Film Festival and think, 'There is no way that they're going to be able to top this year'. Then we wait with baited breath to see what they have been able to wrangle together this year and are once again blown away by the cornucopia of fantastic cinema goodness they are going to share with us.    With an already stellar first wave of films announced they have added to this year's volley with new titles like Jang Hoon's A Taxi Driver set to close the festival. Lifetime Achievement Awards will be given to Turkish actor CÜNEYT Arkin (Turkish Star Wars) and luchador Mil Máscaras. I saw Mil Máscaras in Mexico a...

10 Reasons WWE Will Never Be Able To Replace Rey Mysterio
WWE.com

News has recently surfaced that 20-plus year wrestling veteran Rey Mysterio has been released from WWE, ending his 13-year run with the company. Maybe moreso than any other wrestler the company has ever employed, losing the Mexican living legend may be as important as if, say, WWE released The Undertaker.

If that statement seems bold to you, pause and consider that it may actually not be at all. WWE’s employed luchadores before. Dating back to getting scheduled dates from Mil Mascaras in the WWF to having Eddie Guerrero, Psicosis, Ultimo Dragon, Juventud Guerrera and Super Crazy in the company, lucha megastars have all had runs “up north.” However, how many of them ever became iconic performers and pop cultural names able to become World Heavyweight Champion?

Rey’s a once-in-a-lifetime performer. From his size to his charisma to the groundbreaking nature of his maneuvers and more, he...

Mick Foley Not Shortlisted For WWE Hall of Fame 2012
Despite his recent return to WWE television and his regular house show appearances, as of right now Mick Foley is not expected to be a contender for the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame. Vince McMahon is currently considering other candidates and although he has been known to change his mind on such issues, Foley looks as far away from the Hall of Fame as he ever has.

A ‘key WWE insider’ told WrestleZone exclusively yesterday;

“Mick Foley is not high on Vince’s list for 2012.”

“The writers got to pitch their choices for the Hall of Fame, and Vince seems to have several people in mind already this year,”

So far only legendary Mexican wrestler Mil Máscaras has been officially confirmed for the Hall of Fame and his induction was announced at the WWE tour of Mexico earlier this year. He will be inducted by his nephew Alberto Del Rio.

Wrestlezone...
