Biography

Sergio Marone is a Brazilian actor and TV presenter with 19-plus years career and has acted in more than 15 TV Series and miniseries on TV Globo, 8 films in Cinema and 5 Theater plays.

On TV, in 2016, he devoted himself to playing the villain Ramses, achieving both national and international public and critical acclaim starring in the TV Series The Ten Commandments on TV Record - broadcast in several countries across three continents. Recently, Sergio Marone starred in the TV Series Apocalypse also on TV Record, giving life to a contemporary Antichrist in another important role of his career.

In 2011, Sergio acquired the film rights to the novel Jesus Kid by Lourenço Mutarelli, which will be shot in the first half of 2019. In addition to starring in the film, Jesus Kid marks the actor's debut as a film producer.

His trajectory as a TV presenter includes conducting shows such as Miss Brasil, live, on TV Bandeirantes, Red Carpet Review on Channel E!, Florestabilidade Series, on Futura Channel and, more recently, the morning show Hoje em Dia on Record TV - a successful participation, resulting in a considerable increase in ratings. Latterly, he also presented the Brazilian version of Dancing with the Stars, live.

Engaged in social and environmental issues, he created the Gota d'Água movement in 2012, bringing together more than 1 million signatures against the installation of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant in the record period of one week, putting in discussion the system of production and distribution of energy in Brazil. He also visited the Xingú River Region by invitation of indigenous leaders.

His impeccable taste for the good things in life, led him to publish in 2014, Mr. Jazzy, a blog on male lifestyle, addressing fashion, conscious lifestyle, responsible consumption, sport, gastronomy, art, entertainment and travel.

In 2015, he was awarded by the public with the F5 Brazilian Television and Internet Award from the Folha de São Paulo Newspaper in Best Actor category being also considered as one of the most influential artists in Brazil, according to Celebrity DBI - IBOPE Repucon (the only national index for celebrities influencer power measurement).
