- Stephen Markle was born on September 26, 1945 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was an actor, known for Invasion U.S.A. (1985), Star Trek: La nouvelle génération (1987) and JAG (1995). - When he was on The Edge of Night, Markle portrayed Ted Loomis, a corrupt cop who eventually became a serial murderer. Markle's character killed several other characters, and the fans loved him and wanted him to keep killing even more characters. The producers became alarmed that his evil, psychopathic character was becoming too popular. As a result, it was decided to kill off Markle's character!
