Daniel Margosis started his career at 16 years old as a high school intern at Channel 2 News in New York where he worked with talk show host and former "Today Show" anchor Meredith Vieira, theater critic Dennis Cunningham and Health and Science editor Earl Ubell. He was hired by Channel 2 News that summer as a researcher and then moved to WABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News where he functioned as a researcher, field producer, talent booker and segment producer.

In 1982, he decided to pursue a career in entertainment and relocated to Los Angeles. After two months of working as a casting assistant on "Dynasty" and "Matt Houston" at Aaron Spelling Productions, Daniel got the opportunity to work as Executive Assistant to Spelling's partner, E. Duke Vincent for two years. After a brief stint in production, Daniel became Executive Assistant to Mr. Spelling himself, who, at the time, had a record eight series on ABC, which was then known as "Aaron's Broadcasting Company." He was then 21 years old and spent five years learning the television business from the master.

Daniel moved on to a short-lived career as a talent and model agent at LOOK Agency in San Francisco, and then took a position in Current Programs at CBS Entertainment. It was there, after reading, analyzing and reporting on tons of scripts for over a year that he decided he had what it took to become a comedy writer.

After two years of writing episodes of various sitcoms, ("Stat!", "Five Up, Two Down", "Flesh and Blood", "Scorch") he was hired by famed comedian/actor/director David Steinberg on staff as one of three writers on "Designing Women". He then went on staff of the Warner Bros./Fox Broadcasting hit "Living Single" starring Queen Latifah and Kim Coles, where he remained for two years.

Warner Bros. then approached Daniel about making an exclusive overall deal to Create, Write and Executive Produce sitcoms. Daniel and his former writing partner, Robert Horn created, wrote and Executive Produced the critically acclaimed CBS comedy "High Society" starring two time Academy Award nominee, Mary McDonnell, Emmy award winner Jean Smart, Tony Award winner Faith Prince and Emmy Award winner and five time Emmy nominee Jayne Meadows. Margosis and Horn also set up six television pilots during their Warner Bros. tenure.

Warner Bros. re-upped Margosis and teamed he and Horn with comedy giants Bob Boyett and Tom Miller ("Laverne & Shirley", "Bosom Buddies", "Perfect Strangers", "Step by Step", "Family Matters" and "Full House"). Together, they produced 4 television pilots.

Margosis and Horn subsequently wrote additional pilots for the Disney Channel, CBS, ABC and HBO.

Margosis and Horn were hired to write the animated Disney feature film, "Wildlife". They were then hired by Disney Theatricals President, Tom Schumacher to do write additional material for the Elton John Broadway Musical, "AIDA."

Margosis and Horn then wrote the feature film "Good Advice" starring Charlie Sheen, Denise Richards, Jon Lovitz and Rosanna Arquette which was produced by Mark Burg and Oren Koules. ("Saw", "John Q", "Dumb and Dumberer", "Two and a Half Men", "Anger Management") and George Furla and Randall Emmett. ("Lone Survivor", "2 Guns", "Inconceivable" among many others).

Daniel also was Vice President of Talent and Development for StarCam.com, a celebrity social networking site where fans interact with their favorite celebrities.

Margosis recently developed projects with Kathie Lee Gifford, Denise Richards, mega-producer David Permut and singer Michael Bolton among others. He has several scripted shows in development as well as two feature films.

He also was the Creative Consultant on the recently released Lionsgate feature film "I Really Hate Ex" and had a small part in the film.

He is a member of the WGA, SAG and ASCAP.
