‘Trashy Lady’ Blu-ray Review (Vinegar Syndrome)
Stars: Harry Reems, Cara Lott, Ginger Lynn, Amber Lynn, Herschel Savage, Tom Byron, Rick Savage, Steve Drake | Written by Steve Scott, Will Kelly | Directed by Steve Scott

Dutch (Harry Reems, Deep Throat) has it all! He’s the money, the looks, a happening nightclub called “The Paradise Club”, the reputation and of course; the girl. That is until his girl Jessie (Cara Lott, Taboo 2) has had enough of his attitude and lack of appreciation. Fortunately for Dutch However, a new dame isn’t hard to find especially in your own club! On the same night of his split, Dutch sets his sights on the young Katharine (Ginger Lynn, New Wave Hookers), a new girl in town who sells cigarettes at the club. He soon finds out that Katherine (whom he decides to call Kitty) is a little too innocent, timid and ultimately a tad inexperienced. This leads him to reach...

‘Casanova (1977) / Casanova 2 (1982)’ Review (Vinegar Syndrome)
The New Erotic Adventures Of Casanova

(1977, dir: Carlos Tobalina)

John Holmes (Eruption) stars as John, a man who has recently inherited and sold off the estate of his late great grandfather. Looking for something of a keepsake, he visits the antique dealer (Tory Jeffery, The Autobiography of a Flea) and is given a bottle of cologne found in a desk. The cologne belongs to great Casanova and was used to scent his love letters. He applies some to his clothes and this leads to the first of many sexual encounters, this time being with the cleaner of the motel he is staying at. Once getting dirty with cleaner, he visits his family while he’s in town. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your preference) the effect of the cologne rubs off on them, leading John to literally rub off on them. Yes, even his underage cousins fall foul to magic of this scent.

‘My Sinful Life / Las Vegas Girls’ Review (Vinegar Syndrome)
My Sinful Life (1983)

“School Girls By Day… Super Ladies Of The Night”

Ah, incest! One of the ultimate taboos. The world of porn has dealt with the subject a lot and continues to do so. Will Carlos Tobalina’s 1983 attempt stand up to the likes of Kirdy Stevon’s Taboo series? Judging by my experience with the work of Tobalina up to this point, I’m just going to say no…

Danielle (Lust Weekend) stars as Jill, a young girl who has recently moved in with her aunt after securing a place in college. Without real prompt or emotion, she recounts some of the truly horrific (yet, erotic) sexual acts put upon on her by the greasy mits of her adoptive parents Christine (Rita Ricardo, Girlfriends) and her husband Sebastian (Don Fernando, Oriental Madam). Even her brother Ron (Tom Byron, Tomboy) enjoyed some good old fashioned family fun! After rather...

‘Anticipation / Flesh Pond’ Review (Vinegar Syndrome)
Anticipation

(1981, dir: Carlos Tobalina)

“Beyond Temptation…”

Joyce (Sheila Parks, Casanova II) and Jerry (Jesse Adams, Deep Rub) are newlyweds who, after some mind numbingly awkward conversation, make love for the first time. After breaking in the cheap motel bed (how romantic!), the pair talk about Jerry’s brother Steve (Joey Silvera, Carnal Haven), who apparently had problems with his parents when he announced that he was marrying a girl with a reputation by the name of Wendy (Karo Akamoto – in her only role). We also find out that he is set to be released from prison for accidentally killing (or so he thought, just watch, it makes sense) the lover of his cheating wife. Once released, the brothers are reunited and introduced to their new sisters-in-law. Whilst on a trip to what looks like the coldest beach ever, Joyce and Steve begin to have forbidden thoughts for each other. Actually,...

Rewind This! (2013)
Directed by: Josh Johnson

Featuring: Atom Egoyan, Frank Hennenlotter, Cassandra Peterson, Lloyd Kaufman

We're living in the digital age, my friends, where media exists in a cloud and has no actual physical form. But you would never know it, based on the enthusiastic SXSW audience that packed the beautiful Paramount Theatre yesterday for the premiere of Rewind This!, a wonderful documentary on the video tape boom of the '70s and '80s.

Director Josh Johnson's new doc is a loving paean to the past, a simpler time when people prowled the aisles of their local Blockbuster, marveling at big, clunky VHS clamshells covered with garish promo art that promised cheap thrills rarely delivered.

Rewind This! traces the birth, ascendance, dominance, death and rebirth of video tape through an entertaining combination of interviews and movie clips. By assembling a fascinating cross-section of academics, actors, filmmakers and fans who are in turns persuasive,...

Mother-Daughter Porn Duo Aim To Be Filthy Rich
A mother and daughter in Tampa, Fla., have a unique way of expressing family togetherness -- by creating a pornography site and shooting sex scenes together.

The duo -- known collectively as "The Sexxxtons" -- like many porn performers, don't give out their last names. Jessica, the mom, and Monica, the daughter, have been creating kinky content for their self-titled website for the past year and have just released a DVD.

In order to confirm the Sexxxtons are really related and not just claiming that as a marketing gimmick, The Huffington Post reviewed both women's driver's licenses, and their private Facebook pages, as well as private family photos going back 20 years.

Although mother and daughter have sex in the same room at the same time -- often with the same male or female partner -- they insist that their encounters are not incestuous. For legal and personal reasons, they don't...

Porn, syphilis and the politics of the money shot | Gail Dines
I regularly saw a mix of saliva, semen, faeces and vomit on porn sets. A call for condom use highlights the plight of performers

More pornography is produced in the Greater Los Angeles area than any other part of the English-speaking world. So when a Us-based porn performer recently tested positive for syphilis, the news prompted a self-imposed 10-day moratorium on porn production. Oh, the irony of it. The person held responsible for this outbreak is Mr Marcus, a well-known porn performer and producer who, in a 2007 Xbiz article, was described as "an outspoken proponent of performers' rights" following his failed attempt to get porn performers to organise as a group with collective interests.

After a number of actors tested HIV-positive in the summer of 2004, Mr Marcus felt that the porn industry had a "moral obligation" to safeguard the health of its performers, so he convened a meeting. Not surprisingly,...

Trailer for the Documentary Exxxit: Life After Porn
When you stop to think about it, porn is a fascinating subject. Even going back thousands of years, we can see pornographic images on ancient artifacts. Of course, then you have to stop and ponder if people were jerking off to porn pottery. But it’s always to serve a practical purpose. Trying to review it as cinema reminds me of Kevin Nealon’s bit about “Interesting…more interesting…really interesting…completely captivating…not so interesting.” So does this make the performers nothing more than subjects?

That’s why I first found the idea of the documentary Exxxit: Life After Porn a cool approach to the subject. There’s a line Ron Silver said in a canceled Fox TV series that no one remembers called Skin: Porn is a like a tattoo and there’s no way to get rid of it. That’s true, but porn stars are...
