The cast was awarded the 1998 Back Stage Garland Award for Ensemble for "Dealer's Choice" at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Son of Angela (Benjamin), a theatre secretary, and Brian Marber, a prominent technical analyst.

At age 19, after seeing the very first stage production of David Mamet's "Glengarry Glen Ross" at London's National Theatre in 1983, he was so captivated by the play, he became determined thereafter to work in theatre. In 2025 he would direct, for the first time, a revival of the play featuring actors, Bob Odenkirk, Bill Burr, Kieran Culkin and Michael McKean at New York's Palace Theatre on Broadway.
