Saturday Night Live is making a much-anticipated return this weekend.

The longrunning comedy sketch show begins its 48th season on 1 October and will welcome actor Miles Teller as the emcee.

This marks Teller’s first time hosting SNL, which comes after his appearance in the biggest film of the year, Top Gun: Maverick, alongside Tom Cruise.

The premiere will be followed by two new episodes of SNL on 8 October and 15 October.

The Inbetweeners star James Buckley is continuing to take Cameo by storm in the UK.

The comedy actor joined the video platform in March 2020, where he swiftly gained popularity for his willingness to send personalised videos quoting his famous catchphrases from the sitcom.

Buckley, who played Jay Cartwright on the Channel 4 show, regularly responds to requests for clips, with reports in 2021 revealing that he was responding to as many as 37 requests a day.

Actress Tina Malone has claimed that having a gastric band fitted is the "best thing" she has done in her life. The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant, who recently wed 28-year-old Paul Chase, has lost over 7st with the assistance of two gastric operations. Tina and Chandi took to the Britain’s Got Talent stage tonight and it was as if they already knew that Simon Cowell was looking for a dog winner this year.

After a bit of ballet, a bit of the conga and some dancing with a broomstick it was clear that the judges loved this talented pooch.

Piers Morgan exclaimed:

“I wish Simon Cowell was here, he would have loved you! Chandi, you are the most talented dog we have seen on the show. You are an accomplished dancer……..I will give you two yes’, one from me and one from Simon!”

So with four yeses Chandi sails through to the next round….but can Tina put another routine together in time for the live semi finals?

Simon Cowell has previously said that he wants a dog to win this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent and we think that he had dancing dog Chandi in mind.

The talented pooch was rescued from the pound by her owner Tina Humphrey at just four months old and has before competed in Crufts and on BBC TV show ‘When Will I Be Famous.’ We do find it a bit strange that Chandi’s owner Tina professes to be a music teacher but doesn’t mention the fact that she is one of the UK’s most experienced dog trainers!

The pair danced at a ballet bar for their Talent audition, joined together to do the conga and Chandi even held a broomstick for her owner as she span around her. The canine act impressed the judging panel with Piers Morgan exclaiming:

The next series of Shameless will see one of the main characters sleep with a teenager, reports say. According to the Daily Star, Tina Malone's character Mimi Maguire will begin a relationship with a 14-year-old boy she meets at The Jockey. She will reportedly sleep with him before realising that he is underage when she sees him in his school uniform. "The new series of Shameless is going to be dynamite," a source said. Tina Malone's eviction from Celebrity Big Brother was seen by over 3 million viewers on Friday night. The latest update show, which included the eviction result, was seen by an average of 3.08m (12.8%) in the 9pm hour and a further 180k (1%) on Channel 4+1. The later post-eviction interview show pulled in 2.11m (12.6%), with a +1 audience of 147k (1.7%). ITV1 won the 9pm hour on Friday with Trial & Retribution, which averaged a respectable 5.15m (21.3%). The audience was down, however, by around 700k on last week's impressive debut. Five's Us drama NCIS also put up a decent fight against Bb, averaging 2.47m (10.2%) for the hour, an improvement of 100k on last week.
