Grant Major was born in 1955 in Palmerston North, Manawatu, New Zealand. He is a production designer and art director, known for King Kong (2005), Le Seigneur des anneaux : La Communauté de l'anneau (2001) and Le Seigneur des anneaux : Le Retour du roi (2003).
