Whilst shooting a documentary with
Malcolm Muggeridge for the BBC, he was surprised to learn that Muggeridge had claimed they had been the first to document a miracle on camera. Struggling to film inside the dark home of
Mother Teresa, MacMillan said that the footage would be unacceptably dark. However, when the film was developed, the shot came out quite well exposed. Muggeridge claimed this was a miracle due to 'divine light' But it turned out that MacMillan had decided to use some new Kodak film he was testing, The resulting, very pleasant, images were due to Kodak innovation, not Teresa's incandescence, illuminating the hospice.
