Cynthia Mace is an American actor popularly known for her seminal portrayal of Harper in the original Angels in America at the Mark Taper Forum. The daughter of a traveling salesman, and an EKG technician the family moved often - Ohio, Maine, New Jersey, Wisconsin and California - all before she was 9. Her first role was in a musical, which toured to San Francisco. She played Tanya - a child left in "the forest of the discarded." Through the American Field Service, Cynthia lived for a year in Glasgow Scotland with a missionary family just returned from 15 years in Pakistan. Her "Scottish roots" became global and cemented her passion for walking in other people's shoes. She plays any character discarded, underestimated or forgotten. And sometimes she plays the rich people who have forgotten them. She is also a great cook.
