    Czech-born screenwriter, often billed as H.G. Lustig. Educated at Prague University, he started out in Berlin as a journalist, short story writer and movie critic. He then worked as a writer for Pathe in France before moving to Hollywood, where he was signed by MGM to work on several commercially successful films.
